Delays are inevitable in the gaming industry. While this sometimes upsets players, it's a necessary reality because a lot of work goes into game development, and it forces the choice of a compromised release or a slightly disappointing delay. October 24 is an interesting day, however, as not only 1 or 2 major games received delays, but 5 of the most anticipated games of 2020 have been pushed back, including The Last of Us

When Watch Dogs Legion was unveiled and it was revealed that there were several playable characters such as the granny assassin, it was a big deal for the franchise. Watch Dogs 2 wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but this showed real promise. Shortly after Sony's delays were revealed, Ubisoft followed up with several delays of its own, including for Watch Dogs Legion . Ubisoft essentially explained that it was due to recent under-performances such as Breakpoint , which could have been caused by too many games releasing too closely together, so it chose to delay three games into the next fiscal y

To figure that out, we only need to look to the recent past. When the PS4 launched in 2013 , Sony made a pretty big push to get original titles on it. This was mixed in with a helping of some cross-generation releases (such as Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Call of Duty: Ghosts ) that gave users a clear reason to ditch their PS3's for Sony’s hot new box. Why spend $60 on a version of the game that looked and ran worse than its PS4 counterp

Fast forward about six months after the PS4 released and Sony announced during E3 2014 that The Last of Us Remastered would be hitting the console in one month. It was a move many anticipated before the PS4's launch, but one that also left a sour taste in some's mouths. Sony was now giving us the "better" version of the game instead of holding back the initial release to coincide with its next-gen launch. Was the game simply not ready for the PS4 in November, or did Sony know it could get away with charging tw

Sucker Punch’s open-world game set in feudal Japan blew us away at E3 2018. With stark visuals and an approach that favored realism, Ghost of Tsushima is trying to create a Samurai adventure that is as authentic as possible. Sucker Punch is clearly working hard to ensure Ghost of Tsushima delivers a compelling game and narrative without going over-the-top. There is still a lot of Ghost of Tsushima that is left unsaid, but for an initial tease, what Sucker Punch brought to E3 was enough to leave us intrigued. It says a lot that something as seemingly simple as leaves moving on the ground had everyone talk

We got to sit down with Sucker Punch Productions to see Ghost of Tsushima up close. Though it was the same demo shown at the conference, we did learn important new details. The game takes place in 1274 during the Mongols’ invasions of the island of Tsushima. You play as Jin Sekai, the last living samurai on the island. Having lost everything to the Mongols, Jin now fights for the common people as he tries to stave off the invasion.

What fans do know about Ghost of Tsushima is exciting, though. The gameplay that's been demonstrated looks compelling, a mixture between tense stealth and gorgeous combat, and it's made even more interesting by the fact that Sucker Punch is working with real samurai to help develop Ghost of Tsushima and make it as authentic as possible. According to Sony boss Shuhei Yoshida, Ghost of Tsushima's graphics are also so good that even he was impressed when he got to check out the game this summer - a comment that not only got consumers excited, but led to speculation that the game might actually release sometime in 2

Over the past year and a half, The Division developer Massive Entertainment has worked hard to refine and improve its game into an experience that meets fan expectations. And with The Division 2 , it appears Massive is further building on that foundation, albeit in a new setting. Even just the change of scenery to Washington D.C. gives The Division 2 a fresh perspective, as players battle warring factions around our nation’s capital. It also sounds as though Massive is greatly improving the endgame in The Division 2 with the introduction of specializations. All told, The Division 2 could be a better version of the game that set the record for best selling new

Ghost of Tsushima 's delay is a little different in that its it is entirely dependent upon The Last of Us 2' s. Reports indicate that, because of the aforementioned delay, Ghost of Tsushima was delayed further into 2020 to give the two big PS4 exclusives some breathing room, as it was supposed to launch sometime in early 2020 after TLOU 2 . It's also worth mentioning that it did not yet have an official release date, so this may not be a traditional delay. There's a possibility that the reports are wrong, but there's a high chance that they aren't. As of right now, ghost Of tsushima patch Notes|https://Tsushimalegend.com/ of Tsushima does not have an official release d

But that was to be expected, at least for anyone familiar with Naughty Dog's body of work. What really made the trailer special is its perfect synchrony with the original game's weighty emotional core. With rumors swirling about a potential PlayStation 5 on the horizon, it was apparent that the platform holder would focus on its current crop of announced titles. The Last of Us Part II and Spider-Man are proven winners, and Death Standing continued to intrigue. Ghost of Tsushima, however, was perhaps the most interesting title. A far cry from Sucker Punch’s previous work, Ghost of Tsushima made its presence known at the show and stunned in its debut.

In Blasphemous, you will explore the ravaged and haunting land of Cvstodia as the Penitent One. What makes this game so darn good is the moment-to-moment gameplay mechanics. The platforming, the combat, the exploration, and the RPG elements are all finely tuned and solid. While there have been games set in feudal Japan before, it isn't a setting usually tackled by western developers, especially one most recently known for superhero games set in cities based on New York, New Orleans, and Seattle. That being said, Sucker Punch Creative Director Nate Fox still seems eager to be working with and developing Ghost of Tsushima in such a different setting than Sucker Punch is normally used

The private demo allowed Sucker Punch to highlight many of the little details that make the game feel real. To see them do something so different and pull it off as well as they have, however, is masterful. Beautiful and deadly, Ghost of Tsushima is shaping up to be a real showcase for the PS4 and the studio. We still have a ways off before the game finally launches, but we’re excited to see what else Ghost of Tsushima has in store for us.
