Another cool feature is that of photograph locations throughout the map that when touched display a viewpoint from the original Xbox game. This is quite nifty as it allows you to match up with your television and see exactly what has been improved for the Anniversary edition. It’s also said that backgrounds for key players have been written and are viewable upon meeting them, but I was unable to find how to access these. A title update will be supposedly be released on launch day, so perhaps they will become easier to find then. The only real negative of the experience is that it doesn’t show the NPCs that can be interacted with on the map. Unfortunately, this makes it so you can’t rely solely on your tablet/smartphone, which is a bit of a bummer.


Looking further back, players will also notice a variety of long-necked dinosaurs, likely Brontosaurus. These towering herbivores are present early on in playthroughs of ARK , but thanks to their docile nature they don't typically pose a threat. Next to the T-Rex, this is likely one of the most recognizable dinosaurs to the average person, so it makes sense that it would be included in the trailer. From this distance it is hard to tell, but it could also be a Diplodocus, a less recognizable dinosaur but still included in the original ARK. There’s something odd about an HD port built for a console which itself has Adventure games Collectibles that are being ported to a superior console. Let’s reflect on Fable Anniversary for a second: it’s a 2014 Xbox 360 remake of an Xbox game from 2004. We’re in an age where people are demanding for spectacular looking games like Grand Theft Auto V and The Last of Us to be ported to Xbox One and PS4, and this is an Xbox 360 port of an original Xbox game. As such, judging it is fairly hard to do after spending countless hours over the past few months scrutinizing next-gen ports like Tomb Raider, Madden 25 and Call of Duty: Ghosts, when Fable Anniversary would be a resounding success if it matched the 360 quality of any of them. Still, while a remake of Fable might have been better suited for release before Fable II or as a three-pack with its sequels on Xbox One before Fable IV (please?), the sheer fact that Lionhead and Microsoft care to do it at all is great fan service for players who have had to deal with an antiquated game — classic as it may be.

Another game to watch for during Sony's press conference is the God of War soft reboot. While it doesn't abandon the events that came before it, the new God of War is taking Kratos in a much different direction, giving him a wider range of emotions and adding his son to the mix. The very first shot in the ARK 2 reveal trailer shows an exotic looking flower only to reveal that it is fact some kind of dinosaur. Its long nose looks like a flower just before it blooms, and it is apparently capable of opening its snout to camouflage with other nearby flowers. After it closes the flower on its nose, viewers can see more of the creature's face, revealing chameleon like eyes and a lizard like body. NPC reactions is an area where Fable probably could have benefited from some more tweaking, since early on in the game no one takes the hero seriously, but after playing a few hours the player is likely either the most beloved or feared resident of Albion. The citizens of Albion are superficial as once the fame came in so did the opportunity to take on a spouse or three. Fable was progressive in terms of marriage, allowing the player to take a spouse of the same gender and engage in polygamy. Well, maybe polygamy wasn't accepted in Albion since there could only be one spouse per town, so these multiple partners weren't exactly legit. They ended up leaving me anyway since I never spent any time with them or gave them gifts, but considering how difficult and time consuming it was to actually take a spouse to bed, they seemed to be more trouble than they were worth. The main purpose spouses served in Fable was when playing as an evil character, killing them would net so many evil alignment points.

Players don't get a great look at them as they fly away quickly, but just before the T-Rex comes bursting through the trees, several pre-historic birds fly away. There was a wide range of avian species in the original ARK , but these seem to be something new. Though it's likely that birds like the Pelagornis and Icthyornis will make a comeback, it seems players will have to deal with new types of flying dinos as well in the coming seq
