Avid gamers discovered an insidious anagram hidden in Asriel's full name. Asriel's entire name is Asriel Dreemurr. Keen-eyed players sussed out that if the letters of his first and last name are rearranged, the words 'serial murderer' can be spelled out. Needless to say, this was a morbid discov He seems to have some sort of knowledge of the other timelines (and, by extension, Deltarune ) and makes sure that you're aware of that. Besides that, his love for his brother and his strange little rela...

The woman calls you to ask you which type of pie you would prefer less than an hour after meeting you, how could you not love her with your entire soul? Toriel is the absolute heart of the Underground, and wants only the best for everyone around her. If her little speech about learning how to text a smiley face doesn't make you burst into tears with ease, you're basically just a monster and you cannot be sa Players take on the role of Chara, a semi-unnamed protagonist human child that fell unkno...

It’s difficult for me to put a number on Undertale, it’s such a different experience from RPG’s like Final Fantasy, The Witcher, Elder Scrolls, and many others. I think it’ll be received differently by everybody who plays it, but that’s also kind of the beauty of it. Undertale is an important game because it experiments with what exactly a game can be. It tackles issues and ideas no other game will. Things that I was able to personally connect with from my own life, and for that maybe I’m biased...

The outer cardboard box itself is simplistic. It features a neat color coating on top of the black cardboard which showcases some town pixel art. Otherwise, though, it’s a subdued outer cover which teases what's inside thanks to the heart-shaped cutout. Once opened up there are some cooler goodies to look forward to. The first thing you see upon sliding out the box is a lovely 14k gold-plated brass locket (which also happens to be a mini music box). This is the stand-out item of the set and make...

Undyne's unusual name has a couple of hidden meanings. One is that it's based on water elementals or water nymphs known as "undine." With the name's similarity and Undyne being a fish woman, the connection was obviously on purpose. Undine are typically associated as being female and sort of like mermaids. A fish woman is close enough tho Okay, so technically you will go up against this guy numerous times, but we want to include him because every single fight was interesting. Undertale is all abo...

Okay, so technically you will go up against this guy numerous times, but we want to include him because every single fight was interesting. Undertale is all about defying the expectations of the player, but this was the first time that people really felt how much this game could mess with t While most content creators (especially indie creators) would be ecstatic about a channel with over a million subscribers debuting their game, Pirate Software seemed irate. As noted in the Tweet below, MatPat...

Characters who are grey and vanish have been linked to W.D. Gaster, who is a secret character in the game's files. We still don't know much about Gaster, except that he seems to be a skeleton (and possibly related to Papyrus & Sans) and was the royal scientist before AlpThe soundtrack comes with two discs. This means you’ve got access to the complete soundtrack (which is over 100 songs). A digital download is not included, but most Undertale megafans probably already have the soundtrack digitall...

Like Undyne, Shyren is a fish-like monster. She is a very minor character, but you can learn more about her in the game. Just from her fight you learn a lot about her, notably that she's shy about her singing vo During the chaotic fight against Asriel, players have the option to 'Check' his stats. The description for Asriel states quite simply that he is the "absolute god of hyperdeath." This is not an exaggeration. Expect to have a tough time when fighting through this bat We know that this one...

Many people fell in love with Clementine's story and were heartbroken when her and Lee's journey came to an end. If you're someone who's looking for the same type of game there are many different titles that could scratch that i In State Of Decay, you control a group of survivors amid a zombie apocalypse. This is the exact situation Clementine routinely finds herself in throughout the series. The biggest difference in State Of Decay is that it's less story-focused and more about survi Whether or...

The world of Undertale is filled with charming characters. Rarely would you find someone being actively hostile towards you. Undyne, however, is very straightforward about her quest to kill you. Her battle introduces a new mechanic as well, turning you green and having you defend against a flurry of spears from all directi Undertale was sort of an anomaly to me. I had never been a fan, notably because I missed out on the game back when it released in 2015. The game has been sitting in my Steam l...

This is probably one of the most uninspired and cliche romances ever in a video game. What really does not help is that the protagonist, Leonard, is just plain unlikable. His single driving force is a princess he does not even know, Cisna. He falls in love with her at first sight as he is bringing wine to a party and strives to save her after she gets taken a During the chaotic fight against Asriel, players have the option to 'Check' his stats. The description for Asriel states quite simply that...
