Despite the crossovers The Witcher has already had, there are many video games that it would feel right at home in. One option would keep Geralt in the fighting game genre and see him making an appearance in the Mortal Kombat series. Not only would he fit as an agile fighter with a variety of moves, but Mortal Kombat has had a variety of strange guest characters in the past. It also would be interesting to see how Mortal Kombat would apply its over-the-top gore and fatalities to Geralt, which would fit the series' mature themes and make Geralt seem more devastating than his appearance in Soulcalibur Geralt appears in the New World via a portal but he isn't the only inhabitant of the Continent to make their way to Monster Hunter Wilds Quests|Https://Monsterhunterwildsforge.Com/ Hunter: World . An ancient Leshen, one of the cooler monster designs in The Witcher 3 , has also made its way here and Geralt must team up with others in order to track it and bring it down. Ciri even makes an appearance at the end of the trailer, as her ability to travel through space and time lets her potentially cross over into just about anything, maybe even Cyberpunk 2077 , the next CD Projeckt Red g Wild Hearts comes as the latest game to join EA's line-up of "EA Originals," a publishing initiative between EA and other development studios. EA has already seen massive success with several games published through the EA Originals program including 2021 Game of the Year It Takes Two and Coldwood Interactive's Unravel . The unique mix of giant monsters and technology will look to set Wild Hearts apart from its inspiration when it launches early next y More than that, the argument has been made that weapon durability systems basically discourage combat altogether. If you must constantly replace your weapons—and especially if you’re carrying a better weapon with you—you’re reluctant to use it because you don’t want to use it up. Furthermore, it also encourages players to use the worst weapons possible in every battle, in fear of using up the good ones. Instead of encouraging the usage of a variety of weapons like the system is supposed to, it often ends up encouraging players to simply avoid combat. Sometimes, players even finish the game without using any of the best weapons, because they "might need it later"—indefinitely. It almost seems like weapon durability is basically the game’s way of shooting itself in the f To balance out a weapon that spends much of its time stuck in a monster or the ground, it seems right to provide hunters some extra benefit while unarmed. Perhaps they could run faster while unencumbered, or simply have an easier time setting up traps and utilizing other items. It's easy to posit what a good weapon could be and much harder to actually implement one in a series as complex as Monster Hunter is already, but a thought experiment such as this shows the possibilities for new weapons are limitless when pulling from the right source mater Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate included underwater combat, which, while innovative, divided fans. Fighting monsters can be hard enough without additional tough mechanics The game also added a host of improvements and new features in comparison to the original Monster Hunte Another place that Geralt would feel right at home in is the Nioh series. The Nioh games see players fighting through hordes of spirits in Souls-like combat through a variety of dodges and weapons. Geralt would be a great addition to Nioh as his nimble fighting style would mix well with the series' heavy emphasis on dodging and parrying enemy attacks. Geralt would also fit right into the game's dark universe while also bringing some levity through his dry commentary on the strange world. Geralt likely wouldn't fit into Nioh 's historic setting, but with how impressively successful Nioh 2 was , a crossover could be in the cards for Nioh and The Witcher series' futu The series' success has allowed it to branch off into a variety of new properties and products from its original novelization, including a mobile game, multiple board games, live-action series on Netflix, a digital card game, an animated series, and even its own convention dubbed WitcherCon . This has also led to the series being referenced in a variety of other video games, and Geralt of Rivia crossing over into some titles, although there are still many games he would be perfect to make an appearance Another way to enhance weapon durability would be by incorporating a way to upgrade the weapons, such that they take longer to break or wear down. In fact, a game in which you really have a choice for how to spend time and resources to deal with weapon durability would be the most ideal. For those that would rather not spend time constantly looking for new weapons, they could upgrade the ones that they have. If others would rather not bother with that, there would still be a lot of opportunities to pick up other weapons along the A major focus of Wild Hearts ' reveal trailer that looks to set the game apart from Monster Hunter comes with the emphasis on technology. Players will be able to use a variety of technology and buildable items to aid them in battles with monsters, including building blocks to help players gain altitude. Some other inventions the players can use to aid them in battle include a helicopter-like propeller to hover over larger enemies and a hammer catapult. The trailer also teases the ability to upgrade players' weapons with a variety of effe
