Red Dead Redemption wasn't the only Rockstar game to receive excellent additions in story DLC. From LA Noire to Max Payne 3 , Rockstar kept a habit of giving players quality story content on top of their original titles for years. The pinnacle of Rockstar's story DLC though, has to be from Grand Theft Auto IV. Like Red Dead 2 and GTA V , GTA IV has a story as good as any film, but Rockstar built upon that story in unique and imaginative ways through The Lost And Damned and The Ballad Of Gay Tony . While one installment has you playing as a biker struggling with the collapse of his gang, and the other a bodyguard for a celebrity night club owner, both run in parallel with GTA IV , adding depth to the story and life to Liberty City. GTA IV' s story DLC fleshed out its world, creating an experience with more depth and character to it. The content was so good that it makes you wonder what Rockstar might have been able to come up with if they would had taken story DLC for GTA V seriously. Unfortunately, it seems like that window has come and gone, and the potential has fa Hosea is believed to have been born around the year of 1844. This means by the time the events of the game get going he's likely either 54 or 55 years old. With Dutch being slightly younger, that would make Hosea the oldest member of the Van Der Linde g The Mafia series is a collection of games that follows different protagonists as they rise through the ranks of the criminal underworld and fall through them. The first game follows Tommy Angelo who finds himself caught between two warring mafia families. The second follows Vito Scaletta as he tries to repay his father's debt, and Mafia III follows Lincoln Clay on his quest for revenge against a mob fam The Night Folk of the Bayou is a sinister group that players can encounter while exploring this area of the Game streaming. This may not sound like an appealing prospect (especially with the wealth of crocodiles players can encounter here), but this is made worthwhile by a Stranger mission that is unlocked once players encounter these folk for the first t Although there is much to be said about the gaming experience of GTA Online , not every gamer enjoys multiplayer games. Some might gravitate more towards solo experiences, looking to be moved by the story and gameplay on an intimate level without the distraction of other players. Unfortunately, when Rockstar made the decision to solely focus on the online components of their games, they've stopped giving these players new reasons to come back to the game. Obviously, there is a large handful of hours to be spent in Rockstar's single player stories alone, but narrative additions certainly add a good deal of value to a game, and players miss them. It's clear that focusing on an online platform is the most lucrative move for Rockstar in this day and age, but there is a lot to be said about the quality they used to bring to their story DLC, and it would be great to see them go back to it some When you have to travel in an open-world game, speed is essential. Style, though, is something oft-overlooked. With that in mind, let's pay homage to the humble horse. The beasts are faster than humans. Horses look much cooler when they gallop. A man riding a horse looks suave. A man that isn't riding a horse is just, horseless. And let's not forget that you can ride them while using the Cinematic Camera. Because nothing says traveling in style like riding a horse while admiring the panoramic views. Horses are the b Some games free the player of responsibility. Killing someone might not have any consequences. An evil act may go unpunished. If there aren't any witnesses, then it doesn't matter. That moral vacuity doesn't translate well in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 . What you choose will affect you as the game develops. One decision early on will bear fruit or consequences, depending on what you've done. And the decision to help those around you or to forego a killing blow might influence how people respond to When you sit down to play an open-world game, a to-do list usually builds until you have item after item that you need to cross off the list. One quest leads to another. Or more likely, one quest begins only to be derailed by the introduction of another quest or an errand that you need to run or a dungeon you've never seen before. Have you ever just wanted to start your morning by sitting down for a cup of coffee? Small details in Red Dead Redemption 2 really ground you in the world. There's not always a quest to finish. You may spend your days wandering and not really find a quest. And that's o Imagine becoming good friends with someone you tried to rob and hustle. If entertainment is any indication of the plausibility of this happening then it must be fairly common among criminals and outl Sometimes open-world games sag under the weight of their content. There is simply too much to do. What's worst is when the same amount of time applied to develop content for the world is not equally applied to create a compelling narrative. That is not the case in Red Dead Redemption 2 . The writing is superb. The characters are fully realized. The emotions are nuanced. The story is believable. Every piece in that puzzle fits nicely, and the result is an elegant tale set in a wild wo
