Hosea met Dutch at a campfire and as he was trying to con and rob him he realized Dutch had already robbed him. The two respected each other's craft and bonded over their shared life as outlaws. Their years together are likely the reason Dutch always held Hosea's opinion in such high reg In Grand Theft Auto , one could catapult themselves through a car windshield if they crashed in the right way, serving as a public service announcement on the importance of seat belts. Unsuspecting horse riders in RDR2 found themselves jettisoning off their steeds if they ran into a fence or tree too f Most games maintain a steady stream of information that floods the screen. Little markers delineating new destinations. A compass to coordinate movement with your position on the map. Reminders for the quest that you're undertaking. Indicators of health, stamina, or any other status that might be necessary. Everything is designed to assist the player and ensure that you're not lacking context. Red Dead Redemption 2 throws that out the window. You're going to die. You're going to get lost. That's part of being in the Wild West. Get used to it. And that perilous freedom means so much in an open-world g As the game progresses players come to learn that Arthur Morgan is sick and it's only becoming worse. Due to the lack of modern medicine and his stubbornness, it becomes apparent that there isn't a way to cure his condit Unfortunately for him his uncle passed away from a heart attack and left him alone in unfamiliar territory. This is where his schemes began as Strauss started swindling people out of their own money to make a liv Red Dead Redemption 2 raised the bar for storytelling in big budget, AAA titles. Arthur Morgan's journey is unlike anything gaming has ever attempted before. The narrative is beautifully somber and emotionally impactful. The game play usually complements this vibe, with the shooting feeling heavy and the long horse rides giving players time to mull over the character's situation. Other times however, the gameplay results in unintentional hilarity. It is an open world game after all, and player freedom always leads to comedy gold. Here are ten ways this masterpiece is unintentionally hilarious, both in gameplay and in the st This one would be impressive if it wasn't done by accident. Not only can players shoot the hats off enemies, exposing their foreheads to the sun or revealing a bald spot, but enemies can return the favor and shoot Arthur's hat to the wind. You can do a lot of things to people, but tampering with their headwear is a whole other level of insult. Fortunately, Arthur has magic hat regenerating powers, but the NPCs he shoots down don't have the same abil Oh Dutch. As good of a character as Dutch is, he’s extremely frustrating to deal with. Throughout the many camps the Van Der Linde gang ends up at, Dutch constantly has to let everyone know they need to pay their fair share. Okay, but what about you Dutch? We never once see Dutch putting money into the camp. Now you could argue that it’s because we are never at the camp, but this is actually confirmed at the end of the Game Videos. We find out that Dutch has been secretly hoarding away his money. This won’t be the only meme that points out our irritation with Dutch. There’s more to c **** A horse's worst enemy in Red Dead Redemption 2 ; the dreaded rock. You'll be galloping away at full speed, feeling invincible as you make through beautiful landscapes. Then out of nowhere, your horse trips and falls, sending you flying and landing hard on the ground. You'd think there was something you would've seen a mile away. You are wrong because it was just one little measly rock that nearly killed you and your horse. You might as well add rocks to the list of hardest boss fights in the Red Dead ser Strauss' father, in dyer times, had to trade his 9-year-old daughter in exchange for food for the rest of his family. This broke the hearts of both Strauss, his mother, and his brother. As cruel as it was, it might have been their only option to survive the cruelness of Winter in Eur You'll be hard-pressed to figure out what you're missing in Red Dead Redemption 2 . The main storyline could be complete and you could have wandered about the wilderness for hours, but you're sure to find something you previously missed. There are so many encounters waiting beyond the horizon. No icons on the map will guide you to every little moment. Make your own moments. And the shroud of uncertainty that blankets what you should do next is thrill Hosea is quite funny and happens to be one of the livelier members of the Van Der Linde gang despite being the elder of the group. At a young age, Hosea was a stage actor who had dreams of becoming a famous comed As mentioned earlier Strauss was born and raised in Austria during a time of extreme poverty. He not only had to endure hunger quite often but he had to see his sister traded away to feed his family. When he was seventeen he moved with his uncle to the United States due to his hea

While Batman: Arkham City is fantastic in its own right, we can't help but wonder if one specific boss battle really puts it over the top. Sure, the game is perfect for Batman fans as they play as the Dark Knight who's trying to save Gotham after the inhabitants of Arkham Assylum broke out and began terrorizing the c I don't think those are the main issues, but I feel like their presence in tandem with the poor reception of Red Dead Online has a lot to do with the game rankings's relative silence. I was among the few who were excited beyond belief to relive my own childhood: the allure of being a bandit once again with my pals online was too much to bear. But, upon arrival, I immediately felt Red Dead Online was lacking in a multitude of facets. With all these varying intentions converging, Red Dead Redemption 2 became an out-of-place mixture that couldn't tell the difference between complicated and simplicity. Intending on making the game feel as real as possible, Rockstar also made it far too and time-consuming and complex to do anyth Heralded as one of the best video game stories of all time, Red Dead Redemption 2 takes you down a path of hardship, one that is unrelenting and pockmarked with violence. While your choices in the game may amount to nothing more than a morality meter, this doesn't quite affect the overall playthrough. And, with a variety of stranger missions and side quests to follow, there's still nothing more memorable than the experiences bequeathed in the original. One of the most fascinating mechanics in Red Dead Redemption 2 are random events, wherein the player can choose to assist an ailing passerby or ignore them. This, however, becomes a consistent nuisance as you travel throughout the wide-open sandbox. It's almost as if the game itself is trying to pry you away from your own experience at every t Westerns have been a staple of entertainment for decades and when a genre like that is explored for that many years it begins to birth tropes that permeate through multiple films. One of these tropes is the story marking the good guys with white cowboy hats and the outlaws with black ones. In Red Dead Redemption 2 , Micah Bell who's a primary antagonist sport a white hat throughout, and Arthur Morgan who's the main character and protagonist of the story wears a black one. This is meant to play with player's preconceived notions of Westerns and foreshadows the events of the game opposit It's unclear if the name was the only thing that was passed down, or if being the worst type of human was a genetic trait passed down through generations in his families bloodline. He had a one night stand with a woman in Blackwater, so there's a chance a Micah Bell IIII exi Sadie Adler is arguably the most likable character in all of Red Dead Redemption 2 outside of Arthur Morgan. Funny enough she's also a character who never really finds redemption or makes her way back to a good pl Especially in the build-up to its release, Red Dead Redemption 2 was poised to be a game with no bounds. From the images and trailers I viewed consistently, the hype was as glorious as Grand Theft Auto V 's, maybe even bigger. Games like Nier and The Last of Us attained similar spells of immense hype, yet that same energy is still there. With The Last of Us 2 slated for release sometime later this year, the hype is ever-present and swirling, thanks to Troy Baker . Now, nearly a year into its life cycle, Red Dead Redemption 2 is faced with questions about quality. What could have been done better? Why has the hype all but dissipated? And what's with all the horse man He's an undeniably bad person at the start of RDR2 , who eventually does what he can to make things right upon learning of his fatal diagnosis. Maybe he could never fully redeem himself, but his sacrifice gave John Marston a second cha Following up the record-shattering Grand Theft Auto V was no easy task, but Red Dead Redemption 2 surpassed it with relative ease. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent company, stated that within the first eight days of its release, Red Dead Redemption 2 sold 17 million copies . That may not sound like a lot, but it's much more than what Red Dead Redemption sold in the 8 years of its existence. Intriguingly, not a mere five months after the game's debut, Take-Two Interactive's share prices dropped 20% with investors worried about the game's level of engagement. This highlights the reality plaguing Red Dead Redemption 2 : downplaying satisfaction. Intelligent investors knew that Red Dead Online was never going to be on par with its cash-grabbing cousin, GTA Onli Sure, it was the first game following Melee that required players to purchase an add-on to actually play with your GameCube controller, but the multiple play modes strong online mode make it a must-p Imagine a scenario in which Micah Bell betrays Dutch Van Der Linde and turns him in to authorities for a hefty reward. Not that tough to do considering the type of person Micah is, right? Well, it seems that it may have been an idea Micah had early on in the story. Players who visit his temporary camp in Strawberry can come across a wanted poster for Dutch among newspaper clippings mentioning the murders by Micah and his father. It's never expressed that he was planning on capturing Dutch and turning him in, but it's hard to believe he didn't at least consider

Their years together are likely the reason Dutch always held Hosea's opinion in such high reg After the first Red Dead Redemption , many were unsure if Rockstar could outdo themselves with its new protagonist. To our delight, we were proven wrong. Arthur Morgan is a great protagonist due to the journey we experience with him. As Dutch’s right-hand man, Arthur becomes more and more unsure of the path they are tak The Van Der Linde gang consists of many characters. Some are developed better than others. Then there are the ones that really stand out, for better and for worse. Even though we may hate some of these characters, that isn’t to say they are bad characters. In fact, they are completely three-dimensional and their motivations are in line with their actions. Here are five members of the Van Der Linde gang that we love, and five that we can’t st It shouldn't come as a surprise that the oldest member of the Van Der Linde gang also happened to be the resident bookworm. Hosea loved reading and had an appreciation and love for crime novels above all e Curzon Dobell has managed to appear on numerous television shows such as Gotham, The Blacklist, and House of Cards but none of his roles are nearly as prominent as Hosea in Red Dead Redemption 2 . His performance was so rock-solid and impressive that many players are hoping he returns in a future Rockstar Games proj During the game, players can hear a story about how Hosea originally wanted to be a priest. He goes on to say that "didn't know that you had to be Catholic to be a priest." This implies that he likely wasn't originally Catholic, but was rather a convert to the relig What hasn’t been said about John Marston yet? While John is the main protagonist of the first game, he takes a supporting role in the game’s sequel. As a young naive member, John does make questionable decisions click here now and th Although there is much to be said about the gaming experience of GTA Online , not every gamer enjoys multiplayer games. Some might gravitate more towards solo experiences, looking to be moved by the story and gameplay on an intimate level without the distraction of other players. Unfortunately, when Rockstar made the decision to solely focus on the online components of their games, they've stopped giving these players new reasons to come back to the game. Obviously, there is a large handful of hours to be spent in Rockstar's single player stories alone, but narrative additions certainly add a good deal of value to a game, and players miss them. It's clear that focusing on an online platform is the most lucrative move for Rockstar in this day and age, but there is a lot to be said about the quality they used to bring to their story DLC, and it would be great to see them go back to it some Though Lenny never had the chance to do right by Hosea, they ended up being buried side-by-side. This was foreshadowed earlier in the game when both Hosea and Lenny say they want to be buried next to frie This fight results in the death of a man named Jake Adler, and the rescue of his now widowed wife, Sadie Adler. The death of her husband is the catalyst of her entire character arc focusing on revenge and violence focused on the O'Drisco Look, I get it. GTA Online is a milestone in online multiplayer gaming. It gives you unparalleled action, an incredible amount of game types, and the creative freedom to come up with some pretty spectacular moments of gameplay. It has been running strong for nearly six years now, and new content is still being added all of the time. Despite all of this, online gameplay is not Rockstar 's best s There are several other moments where the epic western score on this Woody Jackson album remarkably represent the complex nature of Red Dead Redemption 2 's story. Blood Feuds, Ancient And Modern , serves to mirror the age-old conflict between the Gray and Braithewaite families. The song begins with a slow sense of anxiety, as steady drums and a hypnotizing female vocal performance set the tone of the uneasy peace between the two families who have hated one another for as long as anyone can remember. It creates the feeling of a calmness constantly sitting on the edge of chaos. The drums begin to build, and the guitar licks become heavier to mirror the manner in which the Van der Linde gang stirs up the conflict between the two families, making uneasy alliances with both. After an absolutely epic rise and climax, the song falls back into a violin-led epilogue of tragedy, representing the fact that this conflict, fueled by greed, only resulted in de During the epilogue of the game, the player takes control of John Marston and gets a first-hand glance at the events that led up until the start of the first Red Dead Redemption . The game does a great job at catching the player up with former members of the Van Der Linde gang as they uncover what events have unfol
