More than I can remember in recent years, 2016 had me overwhelmed with great games to enjoy all throughout the year. Picking one game out of the dozens I played this year is no easy task, and even more than in the past year or two. 2016's class of games were an embarrassment of riches when it came to diverse genres, awesome gameplay, and truly unique, exciting new experien Really, who could play him better than the incomparable John Rhys-Davies? Torbjorn, as a character, clearly sports some similarities to Lord of the Rings ’ Gimli. Specifically, he sports some similarities with Davies’ portrayal of Gimli in the Peter Jackson’s films. The two aren’t a mirror image, but the similarities are apparent enough to make the Davies the obvious choice for any Overwatch dream casting list. He’s the one guy who could make this role memorable no matter how much screen time Torbjorn gCall of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered tells the exact same plot from the 2007 original: Russian ultra nationalist Imran Zakhaev seeks to shift the balance of power in the Middle-East, and by using Khaled Al-Asad to lead a coup, the duo successfully assassinate Saudi Arabian President Yasir Al-Fulani, resulting in a conflict that draws in the United States Army and British Task Force 141. Despite being a nine-year-old story, Modern Warfare Remastered’s tale of espionage, invasion, and nuclear warfare resonates as much today as it did back in 2007. The plot is a lot more grounded and realistic than any recent Call of Duty game and has more of a Steven Spielberg feel to it rather than the Michael Bay of late. You’re not a super solider stuck in the middle of out-of-this-world set piece, but rather a regular soldier working with a squad to complete objectives. Early in the year, Firewatch immersed me in one of my absolute favorite stories of the year in the American wilderness, while Far Cry Primal took me back to a more brutal time period. In the spring and summer, DOOM brought me into a roaring rendition of Hell that I will never forget, and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End concluded an epic adventure that came once in a generation. For the fall and early winter, Gears of War 4 brought high-octane action, Dishonored 2 gave me contemplative stealth action, and Watch Dogs 2 provided __ open-world action in a vast, colorful setting of San Franci GAME OF THE YEAR Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (Naughty Dog / Sony Interactive Entertainment) Overwatch (Blizzard Entertainment) Inside (Playdead) Dishonored 2 (Arkane Studios / Bethesda Softworks) Firewatch (Campo Santo / Panic) Honorable Mentions: DOOM (id Software / Bethesda Softworks), The Witness (Thekla), Battlefield 1 (EA DICE / Electronic Arts), The Last Guardian (JAPAN Studio / Sony Interactive Entertainment), Titanfall 2 (Respawn Entertainment / Electronic A That philosophy not only extends from the game's design and multiplayer, but also deep into the themes and characters of Overwatch itself. The Fps Game Skins's shining optimism and diverse character designs run deep throughout the experience. More than anything, Overwatch brims with character and charm - Blizzard somehow took a talking gorilla, a sassy time-bender, a shotgun-toting reaper ( who has made for a hilarious parody Twitter account ), and so many other weird, wonderful characters and made them all feel a part of this shared universe and established wo The role calls for a veteran Japanese actor who is able to convincingly convey a scarred soul, which is why Hiroyuki Sanada is the clear pick. Sanada has appeared as a warrior who sticks to the ancient ways many times in previous films ( 47 Ronin , The Wolverine ), leaving no doubt as to his ability to bring Hanzo to l The main highlight of the new patch is addition of the Horizon Lunar Colony . As the name suggests, this new map takes place on the moon, and is available to play in both quick play and competitive modes. This map was previously announced back in May with a trai While the game does lack single-player offerings when it comes down to a campaign or story mode...I'm not entirely sure that Overwatch even needs it. That may be an unpopular opinion in the day of age of multiplayer-only games, yet I've gotten far more out of the game's universe and world-building from simply playing the game rather than going through a single-player campaign or experience that may have distracted from the game's excellent multiplayer experience and characters, if it had While I had several experiences to get me through months at a time throughout the year, Overwatch is the title that I kept coming back to all year long. Even in a year where shooters reigned supreme -- between it, DOOM , Titanfall 2 , Battlefield 1 , Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare , and so many others -- Overwatch surpassed not only my expectations of the experience it would offer as a competitive shooter, but genuinely came as a surprise in becoming my favorite gaming experience of the entire y
