That’s where Twitter user and frequent source of gaming leaks Tom Henderson comes in. This morning, Henderson offered tidbits of what DICE has in store for Battlefield 6 and the scale of its gameplay. Starting off, he claimed that while the core multiplayer is being designed around the classic 32-vs-32 player setup, the game will be able to support a lot more than that, with maps that "have been designed with 128+ players in mi An insider claims that the next **Battlefield ** game, published by EA , will be returning the series to a present day setting and no one is surprised. The last two main games, Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V embraced period settings of World War 1 and World War 2, respectiv Insider Tom Henderson, who has previously shared accurate information about the latest Modern Warfare and Black Ops releases before release, is now dropping reveals about the next Battlefield game set to be released sometime in 2021 . Replying to user Usman, who tweeted about his own love and nostalgia for Battlefield 3 , Henderson replied saying, "you'll be a happy bunny next year then" with a little smiley face for his followers. Afterwards, Henderson explained his vague statement clarifying that he was not referring to a remaster of Battlefield 3 - which another (and less reliable "insider" ) has claimed is also happening - but rather, the next installment of the franchise. Battlefield 6 , he claims, is a modern-set game which seems all but obvious anyway at this point given the response to the last several BF games and the record-setting popularity of Call of Duty's long overdue return to a modern setting in Modern Warfa For the better part of the last decade, the Battlefield series was the popular place to go for large-scale online multiplayer in the FPS space, offering players the opportunity to shoot it out on large maps in 64-player matches. That number’s almost quaint nowadays in the age of battle royale shooters that can support up to 200 players per match , but if the latest from the rumor mill is to be believed, it’s going to be bumped up considerably for the upcoming Battlefield According to IGN, EA has reconfirmed that DICE will release Battlefield 6 in 2021. After DICE creative director Dennis Brännvall released the news regarding Star Wars: Battlefront 2’s final content update, EA gave a statement to IGN assuring the community that DICE would continue to support both Battlefield V and Battlefront 2 for the next couple years. EA then added that gamers will " be getting a new DICE Battlefield game next year: ‘Longer term, the studio is focused on the future of Battlefield that we’ll be bringing to players in 2021. Since its inception in 2002 with Battlefield 1942 for PC and Mac, the Battlefield franchise has enraptured fans with each iteration. From World War II to more modern settings and even a one-off title set in the future (Battlefield 2142 – 2006), the series has been a staple in the first-person shooter genre. For better or worse, each Battlefield title is one of the most popular games to release in its launch year, with gamers rushing to get their hands on the next installment to engage in some massive gunfights with other players. However, what many fans want is a Battlefield: Bad Company 3, as it has been 10 years since Bad Company 2’s release, and the only information released regarding a continuation of that series has been speculative at b That last part might not appeal much to Battlefield fans, not after Battlefield 5 failed to introduce battle royale to the series with its Firestorm mode. Numerous issues, including a slow pace and a bad loot system, resulted in Firestorm being largely dismissed as one of the worst battle royale games out there. Of course, with battle royale being much more prominent now than when BF5 first dropped, there’s always hope that DICE has taken Firestorm’s failure to heart and is focusing more on improving Battlefield ’s battle royale experie For EA, putting Battlefield back into a modern setting may also prove to be a way to win back some fans. Leading up to the reveal of Battlefield 5 , there was a large part of the fanbase hoping for a game set in modern times. This is in large part due to the freedom it carries with it. There tends to be a larger, more diverse arsenal of weapons to play around with, not to mention a better selection of boats, tanks, fighter jets, and helicopters, all of which lead to combat that feels like it's happening on a much grander sc As far as FPS franchises go, it's hard to dispute Battlefield as one of the goliaths. While it lacks the same level of success as the Call of Duty franchise, Battlefield has consistently delivered big, bold matches for fans that want something just a little bit Discover More Here complex than the typical run and gun gameplay. But if ever there was a time for Battlefield 6 to see the franchise's return to a modern setting, it's For players still playing Battlefield 5 , the game recently saw the addition of new skins as October ended. While the wait for more Battlefield 6 details may seem never-ending, dressing up in Battlefield 5 ’s Halloween skins should make it a tiny bit more bearable – even if only for a little wh

Quite recently, Russian industry insider Anton Logvinov shared a brief statement on Twitter claiming that Battlefield 6 is not what fans want, although it plays well. Judging by his subsequent commentaries, the insider hasn’t played the game himself while the information was probably coming from third parties participating in closed testing. Shortly after that, another industry insider, Tom Henderson, claimed the contrary stating that Battlefield 6 will actually be what fans of the series want . Interestingly, the source of Henderson’s confidence is pretty much the same as Logvinov’s concerns. According to those participating in internal testing, the game is receiving significantly more positive feedback than the previous titles. This reception makes Henderson believe that DICE is handling Battlefield 6 in a way that should satisfy f Controversial inside scoops are most likely based on feedback from several playtesters whose excitement over **Battlefield 6 ** varies drastically from person to person. In other words, the tone of these leaks and claims depends on a personal attitude. Obviously, for a proper conclusion, the title needs to be revealed publicly, which will happen in spring 2021. Until then, there’s no reason to believe any of the reports - unless they are significantly solidified by specific credible informat At the beginning of November, EA revealed that Battlefield 6 would offer an unprecedented scale of warfare , which became possible thanks to the now-current generation of powerful consoles. The company’s CEO Andrew Wilson shared the exciting news that the game is receiving highly positive feedback during the current phase of internal testing. Battlefield 6 is heavily rumored to return to the modern era while the aforementioned scale will reportedly result in supporting up to 128 players in a single multiplayer ma With DICE supposedly having "crazy ambitious ideas" planned for Battlefield 6 , Wilson’s talk of unprecedented scale and the power of next-gen consoles seems fitting. These remarks accompanied the game’s release window, however, which sees the next Battlefield project lined up for a release during the 2021 Holiday season. While this may be a good bit away, having a general idea of when the next game will be releasing should be comforting for Battlefield f Back during the peak battle royale craze, practically every shooter that wasn't Fortnite or PUBG wanted to get in on the action. While the explosion of the battle royale craze did spawn some awesome games like Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone , there have been some that just didn't change much and fell flat. One in particular was Battlefield 5 's Firestorm mode, which fizzled out just as soon as it came Even if Battlefield 5 as a whole lost steam pretty quickly, Firestorm became twice as irrelevant regardless. While Firestorm did receive some initial praise critically, future updates didn't make any significant changes to the battle royale's balance or content. Generally the opinion of Battlefield fans was that they honestly just didn't want a battle royale from Battlefield 5 , and none of the loot or the mechanics helped sway that opinion. The worst was when Battlefield 5 updated the time-t0-kill across all multiplayer modes , which apparently was never properly implemented in Firestorm. With the increased health and rebalanced weapon stats for multiplayer, the changes spilled into Firestorm presumably without testing. Players nearly became impossible to kill with Firestorm's different health stats compared to regular multipla Lastly there's that secret sauce to differentiate another Battlefield battle royale from its competitors , which is something very hard to narrow down or articulate. Warzone has the Gulag to serve as a player's second chance in each match, Fortnite has its iconic building systems as a core gameplay mechanic, and Apex Legends has the hero abilities that players can utilize. Firestorm never really had anything special like that, in many ways it just emulated the base battle royale structure. Battlefield 's next battle royale needs a unique mechanic(s) like this to prove its difference in an enticing With a potential release window highlighted and another insider doubling down on the previous claims that said the game is looking good, the only question remaining is why exactly the two insiders disagreed on if fan approval of Battlefield 2042 Walkthrough|Https://Battlefield2042Pedia.Com/ 6 ’s direction. While this is purely speculation, it could very well have to do with the game’s setting. Perhaps Battlefield is returning to the modern era just like the Battlefield 6 teaser hoax implied, leaving fans of the newer Battlefield titles and their World War settings disappoin This new Battlefield will come alongside FIFA 22 and Madden NFL 22 as major launches in the 2022 fiscal year, on top of other "new and ongoing live services and other titles." This will follow the release of new content "across a broad range of genres" that will invest in Sony's PlayStation 5 and Microsoft's Xbox Series X in the 2021 fiscal year; including four sports games, four games from older properties, four global releases of titles from smaller developers, and two new mobile ga

Battlefield 5 , the most recent release in the Battlefield franchise, is ending support this June, with Battlefield 6 confirmed to be on the way. Both Call of Duty and Battlefield have recently revisited World War 2 as a return to each franchise's roots. Now it seems Call of Duty 's annual releases are shifting back to modern and futuristic battlefields. Either EA's first-person shooter will follow suit, or the franchise could once again carve its own p According to IGN, EA has reconfirmed that DICE will release Battlefield 6 in 2021. Of course, this brings into question what time period Battlefield 6 could take place in. It's very possible the series could return to contemporary warfare, similar to many entries before. Or the franchise could pull another Battlefield 1 and pick a time of war that games have rarely portrayed. There's a few options for Battlefield 6 in terms of a time period or setting, ranging from the most likely to most improba DICE’s popular first-person shooter franchise will soon be returning in 2021 with the release of **Battlefield 6 ** . The developer already announced that the content update for Battlefield 5 scheduled in June will be the last of its kind for the popular World War II shooter that has been making waves since its release in November 2018. Over its nearly two years of massive multiplayer battles, the game has maintained a large, dedicated following, with the largest game modes still becoming quickly popula Even though Call of Duty seems to get a plethora of rumors and leaks for its next release, Battlefield is definitely more tightly sealed when it comes to leaks and rumors. There's practically no information out there about the game, but that's got more to do with development not being as far long as 2020's Call of Duty title. Many theories state that Battlefield 6 would be returning to a modern setting , which makes a lot of sense. Battlefield 3/4 as well as the Bad Company games saw plenty of success simulating modern military combat. Thought the setting isn't exactly what's going to save the franchise, it's got more to do with development priority being mispla Quite recently, Russian industry insider Anton Logvinov shared a brief statement on Twitter claiming that Battlefield 6 is not what fans want, although it plays well. This reception makes Henderson believe that DICE is handling Battlefield 6 in a way that should satisfy f When EA Play took place earlier this year, EA hinted at their new **Battlefield ** game, which will be released sometime next year. Battlefield V was released back in 2018, and definitely did not live up to the hype and expectations that Battlefield 1 brought to fans of the series. The Battlefield series has had huge hits, such as Battlefield 3 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 , as well as disappointing lows such as Battlefield V and Battlefield: Hardline . On the other hand, the Call of Duty series has kept their fans happy with their recent games, especially with the massive success of Call of Duty Modern Warfare . Its exceptional battle royale mode, Warzone , has also been a huge attraction for Call of Duty play Despite the most recent claims, **Battlefield 6 ** is actually going to be what fans of the series want, according to an industry insider. The statement contradicts the latest round of leaked information courtesy of Anton Logvinov, video game journalist and insi As for what to expect from 2020's Call of Duty , there's a relatively common theme between most rumors. Call of Duty 2020 will likely be an entry in the Black Ops sub-series, the most popular form of a modern Call of Duty game out there. Building off of that, many rumors state the next entry will return to the Cold War or Vietnam in some way. Following in line of Modern Warfare 's soft reboot, 2020's Call of Duty could be doing something similar. Campaign will likely return as well, despite the fact that Black Ops 4 eschewed the single-player mode to make way for the highly popular Blackout battle royale. Obviously, multiplayer will make a similar return as w

During EA Play's 2020 Live showcase, there was an interesting tidbit shared at the end of the show from chief studios officer Laura Miele. Towards the end of the showcase, EA showed off some very early next-gen development footage from EA's first-party development studios like BioWare, Criterion, and DICE. "Our studios are taking their crazy, ambitious ideas and making them real," stated Miele. "Every console generation DICE sets the bar for excellence in audio and visual presentation. We are creating epic battles at a scale and fidelity unlike anything you've experienced before." This is almost certainly in reference to Battlefield 6 , or whatever Battlefield title is currently in the works for 2 EA Play's last few moments, at least before the announcement of Skate 's return, did show off some prototype gameplay of what appeared to be a Battlefield game. It's unclear if it was specifically Battlefield 6 , as it showed what looked like World War II soldiers running across an untextured plane. This was likely a re-use of assets in a new/repurposed development environment, so it's not indicative of a World War II setting or the final product by any means. That being said, Battlefield 6 will certainly need to live up to the expectations Miele is setting for fans. It's been too long since a proper Battlefield game has had its time in the spotlight, but what she's inferring may be enough to reinvent the franchise after Battlefield 5 's poor rele Simply put, previous Battlefield games have seen success in a modern setting before so it makes sense to return there. Some of the most popular games in the franchise like Bad Company 1/2 and Battlefield 3/4 each saw great commercial and critical success depicting modern warfare. Battlefield is in a peculiar position it's honestly never really been in before, where the series got its start simulating battles of WWII but has now seen one of its worst-performing games based in WWII . Jumping back to a modern time period, as ironic as it may be, could be exactly what the franchise needs for a comeb The Battlefield franchise has evolved quite a bit since the last entry in a modern setting. Loot boxes, season passes, and changes to DLC structure have all brought major shifts in the video game industry– shifts that Battlefield 6 will inevitably have to navigate. While there are plenty of things fans want EA to include in Battlefield 6 , there also needs to be a feeling of refinement for the aspects of the franchise that haven't been working. Modern settings have been explored in-depth in the past by battlefield 2042 updates|https://battlefield2042pedia.com/ , which should give EA a better sense of what its fans want in terms of cont Battlefield 6 , or whatever it ends up being called, will be the twelfth game in the series that started all the way back in 2002 with the original and beloved Battlefield 1942 . So far we have seen games set in the present, the past, the near future and even the far off future with the fourth game, Battlefield 2142 . The games in this series are all first-person shooters, and tend to focus on large-scale, high player count multiplayer with vehicles and destructible environments. There is an emphasis on teamwork throughout the games, although the latter entries also feature single-player campaigns in an effort for the franchise to better compete with Call of Du For all the great success that Battlefield 1 brought to EA's flagship shooter, Battlefield 5 failed to capitalize on that momentum. As for Call of Duty , Black Ops 4 still performed considerably well and now Modern Warfare and Warzone are even better. To many this debate has been put on hold, but Battlefield has made a resurgence from a poor title before. Both series are poised for their next entries over the course of this next year of releases, meaning this debate could come b Having sold eight million copies in its first month, and scoring 89% on Metacritic for its PC version, Battlefield 3 was one of the most popular games in the series and helped push the series into the mainstream even more as a legit competitor against Call of Duty . Battlefield 4 continued that, also embracing the same modern setting, and both games remain arguably the most favored in the series. As for the BF3 remaster rumors, that seems odd and inexplicable at this point to re-release a modern set game alongside a new modern set game, splitting a player base they so desperately need to keep large to support large player cou Battlefield 5 , the most recent release in the Battlefield franchise, is ending support this June, with Battlefield 6 confirmed to be on the way. Either EA's first-person shooter will follow suit, or the franchise could once again carve its own p Of course, the Battlefield franchise could surprise fans with something completely new for the series. Perhaps not as outlandish Battlefield Hardline , but something like a completely new time period or setting. There's still a variety of conflicts throughout world history that many games, not just Battlefield , still haven't tackled in a video game. Conflicts like the American Civil War, the Korean War, and the modern 20th century Middle Eastern conflicts come to mind. Any one of those wars would be a wild departure for the series thus far, but would be incredibly unique. It would give a chance for players to get to know some of the lesser conflicts in world history that are worth know

Simply put, previous Battlefield games have seen success in a modern setting before so it makes sense to return there. Jumping back to a modern time period, as ironic as it may be, could be exactly what the franchise needs for a comeb While Modern Warfare has been wildly successful, Battlefield V hit a slump. The game was underwhelming and did not release enough content to keep players hooked, and its battle royale, Firestorm , definitely did not live up to expectations. It's safe to say that Battlefield V put the series into a bad place, and it'll be interesting to see if the next Battlefield game can revive the series. DICE and EA may be able to make a comeback, even with the hyped release of Black Ops Cold War later this y That being said, modern combat spawned some of the greatest Battlefield games to date. Battlefield 4 , despite its troublesome launch issues, shaped up to be a great Battlefield game overtime thanks to content updates. Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2 were some of the best shooters the franchise had to offer because there was a clear focus on what each game intended to do. Bad Company 2 has some of the most intelligent map design in the entire series, justifying the at-the-time revolutionary destruction physics. Battlefield 3 thrived in its variety, showcasing traditional Battlefield gameplay on huge maps like Caspian Border, but also adding more close-quarters combat in maps like Operation Mé Perhaps the worst thing now is Battlefield is dealing with an identity crisis. Being the gritty simulatory modern combat experience Battlefield is known for just isn't enough. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare does that, but also backs that with the characters like Captain Price who make the experience more memorable. Not only that, but Modern Warfare 's version of Ground War essentially became a version of Conquest from Battlefield , minus the destruction. A lot of what made Battlefield special, Call of Duty is now doing even bett To no fault of the Battlefield series as a whole, the mode simply fell flat due to its lack of evolution/innovation in a packed genre filled with different takes on the core mechanics. Part of that was Firestorm shared a lot of the problems that Battlefield 5 had overall as well. Regardless, the mode fell by the wayside as other core Battlefield modes had continued support. Now Battlefield 6 is aiming for a 2021 release, and another version of Firestorm may return. If that's true, the series will have plenty of contenders to battle for battle royale supremacy in the next-generat There are some key aspects throughout Battlefield 's history that have contributed to the franchise becoming a bit mediocre. Defining features like destruction are no longer emphasized in a functional manner, while single-player is consistently forced into the experience, despite often being an afterthought for players who love Battlefield 's signature multiplayer. Battlefield is having an identity crisis, one that's not easily solved. Battlefield needs to hone in on what made the series so special in the first place and emphasize t As a result, Battlefield 5 's Firestorm became unplayable for many fans of the mode , effectively killing any interest in Battlefield 's attempt at battle royale. So many other battle royales just offered more enjoyable versions of the same core experience, so players abandoned the experience. Though partially due to the issues with Battlefield 5 's core multiplayer modes, Firestorm also seemed to lose support from the developers as they shifted focus to fixing other modes. Lack of support from both ends basically let Firestorm die off without so much as a whimper, which is a shame because there were certainly good bones in its structure despite its many shortcomi Then the Modern Warfare reboot implemented Gunsmith , which leveraged its perk systems with an obscene level of weapon customization. Players could choose up to five different attachments from a selection of nine categories, ranging from weapon muzzles to ammo capacities. The freedom in choice is massive, allowing for various builds on weapons that would either be invalidated or at least considered weaker in previous Call of Duty games. Loosening the attachment restrictions has lead to a wealth of variety in weapon choice and customizat During EA Play's 2020 Live showcase, there was an interesting tidbit shared at the end of the show from chief studios officer Laura Miele.
