There's also evidence that Avowed takes place before Pillars of Eternity based on some of the trailer's narrat It's also possible that Avowed could have a class system where each class has its own unique abilities. This is seen in RPGs like BioWare's Mass Effect series and Dragon Age . Class choice also affects stats as in older Elder Scrolls games, but unique abilities make the differences between classes more pronounced and often easier to understand. While placed like Elsweyr and Black Marsh were once distant-feeling and intentionally alien in their descriptions, they’ve now both been depicted in modern detail in The Elder Scrolls Onli The game industry is built on the backs of a wide range of studio types, from small indie developers to independent AAA studios to in-house developers under the likes of Microsoft and Sony. Obsidian has long been hailed as a talented studio thanks to games like these, and it keeps delivering new games that capture the imagination of fans. It picks up the setting from the Pillars of Eternity games but with a new, first-person perspective akin to The Outer Worlds or Fallout: New Veg Most fantasy fans also have far fewer expectations when it comes to Avowed ’s lore and what they might expect to find in the Living Lands . While players of The Elder Scrolls 6 might find exploring Dwemer ruins less exciting and more familiar than it was when they first played Skyrim , Avowed 's players are far less likely to know about aspects of the lore like the ancient Engwithan ruins running underneath Eora and their connection to the world’s backst
