2017's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was Nintendo's first attempt to put our favorite hero into an open-world formula. Not only did Nintendo absolutely nail it, but they influenced the genre in many ways and inspired other developers to follow suit when it comes to exploration and discovery. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom , the sequel that released in 2023, is a bigger, bolder version than the original. While Tears of the Kingdom takes place on the same map, there is way much more to do due to its complex physics mechanics and points of interest that can be found in the When Rockstar announced the update on Facebook, it didn't take long for the comments section to fill with angry rants from disgruntled players. Rockstar boasted "competitive gameplay" and "daily objectives" alongside "player customization and emotes." Instead, the company has delivered complaints about grinding, nerfed hunting abilities, and ludicrous microtransactiA man of many talents, Walter Day was born to be part of the entertainment industry. He is a game designer and historian, but is better known for creating Twin Galaxies-- the world leader in video game records. After reading an article on games in 1982, Walter was then inspired to form a date base of the world's leading arcade scores. This led him to becoming an official referee and scorekeeper for video games. He has appeared in documentaries and at various gaming competitions. Walter has contributed to the Guinness Book of World Records, helped with the founding of the International Video Game Hall of Fame and attended a special video game exhibition at the Smithsonian art museum. Walter has since moved on to focus on his music career but he still remains an iconic member of the industry.Whether wanting to play in third-person as RDR2 is presented or taking the plunge and playing entirely in first-person, Red Dead Redemption 2 is sure to be fun. It just might be more fun playing entirely through the eyes of Arthur. Obviously, one is not better than the other, but having the opportunity to experience the West with ones’ own eyes on the ground level of it all, with the amount of detail Rockstar has put in is sure to be a wildly different experience. Red Dead Redemption 2 comes out October 27 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.Red Dead Redemption II’s landscapes seem representative of the feelings pulled up from a game like The Witcher 3 by how one plays in them. The Witcher 3 presented a blend of main storyline with endless possibilities of getting sidetracked in an open world out of curiosity. The opening shot during the credits followed up by the mountain side view says it all. As Breath of the Wild did when it showcased its open world, RDRII is showing these places to say ‘go there!’ Don’t worry RDRII, we will. When people think of the West/Frontier, it’s usually the setting of the first Red Dead Redemption. RDRII is presenting a landscape that will be exciting to explore. North America has a landscape that is gorgeous giving to views that are cause to stop and soak it in. It'll be refreshing to visit something familiar even if alien to the present timeline. Anyone who has hiked into North American wilderness will know this feeling immediately. Starfield offers more than just quests and ship building, however. It allows you to roleplay in unique ways, such as romancing different companions. You can also join factions or become enemies of them, adding a ton of immersion to the game as you open up new storylines and interactions with others. While it's not the best Bethesda game out there , it still has their DNA written all over it, and brings the type of depth you would see from the developers' other games, like Skyrim and Fallout. If you're someone who ends up actually liking Starfield (I'm one of them), then you can expect a game that provides more than 100 hours of playtThis is where it will be interesting to see if Rockstar has learned from games like The Witcher. RDRII could showcase mature tales that not only make for interesting stories but also allow the player to forget they are doing a side-quest, instead getting lost in the game's world. This doesn’t look to be a problem though, with heavy emphasis on the wide range of a cast seen throughout the trailer even if just the tip of the iceberg. Like GTAV, RDRII is giving its audience a living breathing world, that famous — when this is off the world keeps going — mentality.When it was revealed that Red Dead Redemption 2 would be entirely playable in first-person it came as no surprise. GTAV made it possible when it made its way over to the latest generation of consoles so seeing that Rockstar’s next big open world game would be available in first-person made sense. While GTAV’s first-person wasn’t the best, even at times feeling like actions were happening for third-person while in first-person, it still created a sense of grounding that can always be appreciated in video games.
