Red Dead Redemption 2 is an enormous Game Beta Tests. Simply completing the story should take players well over 50 hours, and that doesn't even include the countless side quests. Needless to say, there is a lot of content in this game, and it's easy to miss some incredible stories and gameplay moments. Whether they're hard to find or hard to unlock, these side quests are well-hidden and not often enjoyed. But that's not to say that they aren't worth playing because they The Ties that Bind Us is a fun Stranger Mission that sees players interact with two convicts who ask that their wanted posters be taken down so that they don't draw unwanted attention. Doing this makes for some fun interactions with a citizen who refuses to move away from a wanted poster, while another one is in the hands of a bounty hunter who won't let go of Deep down inside, Arthur Morgan is a good man. Just make sure to not tell him that. He’ll then go on a long philosophical rant on how he’s anything but. We get it, Arthur has done some questionable things in his time. Still, a man can change, which is pretty much the purpose of this game. Just learn how to accept a compliment Arthur. Even if you truly believe it, everyone around you doesn’t want to be antagonized for simply stating an observation. Arthur can be a little too humble for everyone else to han You'll be hard-pressed to figure out what you're missing in Red Dead Redemption 2 . The main storyline could be complete and you could have wandered about the wilderness for hours, but you're sure to find something you previously missed. There are so many encounters waiting beyond the horizon. No icons on the map will guide you to every little moment. Make your own moments. And the shroud of uncertainty that blankets what you should do next is thrill Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterclass in character-driven storytelling. With this sequel, Rockstar created a band of memorable characters and personalities that all clash together perfectly. This being the wild west, there are going to be characters we both love and loa What sets Charles Smith apart is how principled of a character he is. Life isn’t the easiest for Charles since he’s both African-American and Native-American. Despite these hardships, he tends to always stick to his morals. That being said, he also isn’t afraid to get messy when the situation calls for This aspect connects to the same idea as the lack of a heads-up display. The spirit of Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't progression. It's the experience. Whatever that means to the player. In other open-world games, there is a desire for completion. There are quests, collectibles, achievements, and a myriad of other things to finish. Rockstar doesn't want you to complete their game. They want you to live in it. If you're completing something, then you're also moving on to the next thing. But Red Dead Redemption 2 is asking you to stay. So it's not going to help you finish anything. Figure it out on your Speaking of putting money in, how about when Arthur puts so much in and gets no appreciation? You could have recently put a couple thousand into the camp. Then once you decide to skip a day and enjoy the rest for yourself, you’ll criticized by Susan Grimshaw because she hasn’t seen you put money in for a while. To make matters worse, I’m pretty sure Arthur is donating the most out of anybody. If anything, there should have been a mechanic where we could see who hasn’t put money, then we can call them out oursel In a gang of thieves and murderers, Hosea Matthews seems to be the most level-headed one. As one of the co-founders of the Van Der Linde gang, Hosea is usually the one Arthur can go to for advice. Many of the gang’s smartest decisions were usually made by Hosea as w Red Dead Redemption 2’s Bounty System is actually very robust. At any time, bounty hunters could sneak up on you and try to get that nice pay-day. Except, the bounty amount almost never makes sense. You can pull an immense heist that has gained you thousands of dollars, but yet your bounty is only a couple hundred. I’m pretty sure the gang dropped that much money during the heist. It’s also funny that you can easily just pay your bounty for whatever horrendous crime you commit The beginning of Red Dead Redemption 2 starts very slow as it peels back the layers of what the world Rockstar Games created is capable of presenting. Very early in the game, as the Van Der Linde gang is looking to survive a brutal winter, they come across Sadie Ad The song that stood out the most for me personally was Revenge Is A Dish Best Eaten , which served as the musical counterpart for the game's mission of the same name. It begins with an elegant string section, calling into mind the city of Saint Denis and the lavishly devious character of Angelo Bronte. Soon after, an eerie horn emerges into the piece, serving representative to Dutch in a tension-building contrast to Angelo Bronte's strings. The two instruments, while complementing each other, build two separate forms of tension in the same way that the ego-centric, power-hungry personalities of Dutch and Bronte clash with one another. The two personalities dance around with each other until they can no longer coexist. The horns build, rapid guitar strums emerge, then we experience an unnerving high set of strings, right before everything stops all at once for a brief moment. In that brief moment, Dutch kills Bronte. Right as it passes, a heavy string section crashes in to represent Arthur Morgan's horror in realizing just how far Dutch has strayed from the man he once k

Drinking coffee in the morning. Grooming your horse. Taking care of your guns. Talking to the members of your camp. Not all gaming moments have to revolve around epic quests and crazy gunfights. As Zombieland taught us, "Enjoy the little things." And Rockstar has made Red Dead Redemption 2 a mountain of small moments. If you really want to escape into a game Guides, then you have to believe in the world, and the little details that Rockstar has infused into every aspect of the game helps us to forget the world we live in and embrace Arthur's life in Red Dead Redemption In celebration of that, we're going to take a look at the last decade of gaming highlighting the bests from each 365-day cycle. Still, to ensure complete impartiality, we're going to use the highest-rated games on Metacritic to determine what the best was. So, here are The Best Video Games From Each Of The Past 10 Years, Ran Sure, it was the first game following Melee that required players to purchase an add-on to actually play with your GameCube controller, but the multiple play modes strong online mode make it a must-p And sure, the fluid combat system is near-perfect and some of the most rewarding in modern gaming. Plus, there are fantastic character designs. Actually, now that we think about it, the Mr. Freeze boss battle— where he actually learns your patterns and adapts to your play style — was just the cherry on top of the cThe main character of the Half-Life series isn't much for conversation. In fact, he doesn't really talk at all, preferring to be the strong, silent type. Even though we don't know what his voice sounds like, we have a pretty good idea of the type of guy Freeman is. He's someone who apparently lives to help others, as across the Half-Life games he only seems to exist in order to solve problems that others can't. Of course, Red Dead Redemption has been picked apart for years now, with seemingly every easter egg and hidden secret now being known, but within this article, we will take a deep dive into the game, revealing 10 facts and trivia that you may be unaware When you have to travel in an open-world game, speed is essential. Style, though, is something oft-overlooked. With that in mind, let's pay homage to the humble horse. The beasts are faster than humans. Horses look much cooler when they gallop. A man riding a horse looks suave. A man that isn't riding a horse is just, horseless. And let's not forget that you can ride them while using the Cinematic Camera. Because nothing says traveling in style like riding a horse while admiring the panoramic views. Horses are the b Within the game, there are wanted posters all over the place for various characters, which really adds to the whole design and Western feel, with some being storyline driven and others simply being for set design purposes. However, Rockstar actually created that many posters that there were loads that ended up being unused so who knows, maybe they ended up being squeezed into the seq Upon its release, come late October 2018, literally at the stroke of midnight (I had pre-downloaded it weeks in advance), I was instantly pulled into a gritty, serious, and breathtaking open world. I probably didn't stop playing for a full 12 hours. Though I may have easily fallen in love with a game I had long been anticipating, I can see how others may have grown frustrated with the game's design, tone, and realism. These three concepts all clash in some way throughout the playthrough and, despite record sales, proves why the game has dramatically left the public Ion Fury is a blast from the past: a retro-styled FPS with fast action and extreme violence. However, it also brings back another element from those old school shooters, which is the return of the foul-mouthed, rather mean-spirited protagonist. Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison is cut from the same cloth as heroes like Duke Nukem, and while they definitely can be pretty awesome, they're not necessarily the type of people you'd actually want to hang out with after they saved your lives. Hanging out with these kinds of heroes seems like a chore, as all they'll want to talk about is how cool they were then they blew up that alien spaceship, and their idea of humor is repeating the same Bruce Campbell quotes over and over. Due to creative differences with Angel Studios, Capcom ended up canceling the game, and there was a time when the world was almost never introduced to the Red Dead world, which is a strange thought considering its success. Thankfully, this is where Rockstar stepped in as the recent owner of Angel Studios, one of the Angel Studios came across the game and the company decided to buy the rig Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2 took the action genre and injected it with steroids. The result was a high-octane romp that sees treasure hunter Nathan Drake as he searches for the lost city of Shambhala and the Cintamani Stone. Rockstar seems to relish injecting strange experiences into their games. Things that don't fit. They scattered amusing detours in GTA V that have players chasing down leads for wacky stories. And they've done the same in Red Dead Redemption 2 . Not everything has to fit perfectly into the narrative of an open-world. Humanity has weird conspiracies, and the world is full of strange, bewildering things. Red Dead Redemption 2 reflects those oddities. And it makes exploring all the more rewarding when you stumble across something that doesn't make any se I don't think those are the main issues, but I feel like their presence in tandem with the poor reception of Red Dead Online has a lot to do with the game's relative silence. I was among the few who were excited beyond belief to relive my own childhood: the allure of being a bandit once again with my pals online was too much to bear. But, upon arrival, I immediately felt Red Dead Online was lacking in a multitude of facets. With all these varying intentions converging, Red Dead Redemption 2 became an out-of-place mixture that couldn't tell the difference between complicated and simplicity. Intending on making the game feel as real as possible, Rockstar also made it far too and time-consuming and complex to do anythThe problem with Bill is that because Dutch helped give his life meaning and purpose he's loyal to him to a fault. Even when it's clear as day that Dutch and Micah are steering things in the wrong direction, Bill never serves any push back.John Marston may have been the protagonist of the first title, but from a writing perspective, Arthur Morgan's journey blows his out of the water. The second game does a lot for John though in terms of character depth and charisma. The Red Dead Redemption franchise introduced the world to the Van Der Linde gang. In the first game they were set up as the mysterious life John Marston lived before wanting to change his life for the better. Similarly, Red Dead Redemption 2 seems to fight its own nature. Perhaps, more accurately, I'm constantly fighting my own nature as a gamer while playing it. Small mishaps always pulled me out of the Game Trophies, like bumping into pedestrians in Saint Denis would automatically get me wanted, which obviously turned into bloody shootouts every time. The serious nature of the game and its story belied no actual seriousness when presenting topics of immense depth. Rockstar's attempt at making one of the most realistic games falls flat due to awkward button placement, cumbersome menus, annoyingly constant random events, and a slowly-paced st The Legendary Fox has a beautiful white coat that would make it rather camouflaged in the snowy fields of Ambarino, but luckily this Legendary Fox is located in Scarlet Meadows of Lemoyne, where it can be found roaming the forests near Mattock Pond. With an intricate story, only Kojima could think up and a bigger open world for players to explore, the final game in the series made by the man who made it famous did not disappo In hindsight, this was overt foreshadowing for both characters as they both end up being buried next to one another following the tragic events in Saint Denis. At first, Simon Pearson comes off as a whiny and needy man who just so happens to be the gang's cook. As time unfolds players come to realize that he's simply a man not cut out for this lifestyle. He's never mean to Arthur Morgan, and he only becomes frustrated when his livelihood is directly at stake. Oh Dutch. As good of a character as Dutch is, he’s extremely frustrating to deal with. Throughout the many camps the Van Der Linde gang ends up at, Dutch constantly has to let everyone know they need to pay their fair share. Okay, but what about you Dutch? We never once see Dutch putting money into the camp. Now you could argue that it’s because we are never at the camp, but this is actually confirmed at the end of the game. We find out that Dutch has been secretly hoarding away his money. This won’t be the only meme that points out our irritation with Dutch. There’s more to cIn many ways, the reason John Marston pursues a better life and commits to being a better man is because of Arthur Morgan. Arthur's not a perfect person, but the entirety of the game's campaign focuses on a man coming to terms with the fact that he's a better man than the life he's lived. Wild boars are often a nuisance, and the Legendary Boar that stomps through Bluewater Marsh isn’t really one player can see a distinction from other than its dirty light brown hair. The Legendary Boar has quite a thick coat, so it’s going to take a few hits, but try not to let it escape as hunting it on horseback is going to be troublesome with alligators and Night Folk skulking ab The Legendary Fox has a beautiful white coat that would make it rather camouflaged in the snowy fields of Ambarino, but luckily this Legendary Fox is located in Scarlet Meadows of Lemoyne, where it can be found roaming the forests near Mattock Pond. While it’s sleek and agile against the many trees of its location, it’s also a fairly weak animal that any Repeater can easily k As one of the strongest and most consistent publishers in today's market, the company has always been infinitely better and often masterful at something completely different: telling a story. Proving it time and time again, the writers at Rockstar frequently deliver a narrative that can stand next to each year's best movies, and serve as an example as to why video games are just as capable at delivering an iconic story as any other medium. While both Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 have delivered on that front in recent years, Rockstar has all but completely abandoned something that they did better than anyone else: story The most infamous quote in Red Dead Redemption 2 is Dutch’s constant reassurance of "I have a plan." Okay Dutch, please tell us what your plan is. We ask because almost every other plan and job we’ve done has just made things worse. Instead of just accepting that maybe his plans need more thinking, he just sits there and complains that nothing is working. He’s just so shocked that killing a high-profile industrialist actually has consequences. He’s also pretty upset when he realizes that robbing a bank in a large town would somehow go wr One of the most aggravating things about Red Dead Redemption 2 is Dutch’s persistent defense of Micah’s awful actions. Micah is definitely one of the most hated video game lists characters in recent memory. He clearly only cares about himself, even going as far as ratting on the gang. Almost everyone in the gang can see through him, except for its leader. Dutch would continually side with Micah, much to our annoyance. We’re not sure what action Micah could do that Dutch would condDespite being one of the newer members of the gang, Sadie Adler quickly becomes a prominent and important part of the group. She shows a large group of mostly men that her being widowed was the worst thing that could have happened, not for her, but the rest of the world. Particularly, the character loves shouting out "sure" with his trademark twang. Fans everywhere now impersonate it at every possible moment. Heck, some probably do it without realizing. Now, people can't help but notice it when playing. At least it rarely happens during the game's more dour mome In Red Dead 2 , there are so many aspects that make zero sense. This being an open-world game, there were bound to be things that just don't work out logically. As badly as Rockstar wanted to make the sequel as realistic as possible, there were a few things in this title that we just scratch our heads at. As the internet always does, there are plenty of memes for players to laugh at. Here are 10 logic memes all Red Dead Redemption 2 players can relate Look, I get it. Scarlet Meadows has quite a few plains to explore, especially with its connection to the Heartlands in New Hanover. It's unclear whether he was captured and forced to spy on the Van Der Linde gang in exchange for his life, or if he went to them in free will in hopes of creating the best situation for himself. Given his selfish personality and willingness to turn friends on one another the latter option is the one that makes the most sense canonically. Rockstar Games will likely never explain why he defected, but that doesn't mean a lingering mystery needs to be sol The Legendary Moose is truly beautiful to gaze upon for its giant size and majestic white coat. The graying hairs on the beast show its age and its rare status among the other wildlife of Roanoke Ridge. While the size of the Legendary Moose makes it harder to escape a bullet, it is still rather skittish, and players need to be aware that the woods that it has made its home is often filled with Murfree killers and cougars that might make the hunt a little harMost people trapped in the weird, robot dinosaur ridden land of Horizon Zero Dawn have reverted back to living in small tribes, using primitive technology, and generally being scared of everything. Aloy, however, is someone who's not only unafraid to stand up to a mechanical T-Rex, but also doesn't let things like ancient traditions, or being ostracized from society stop her from meeting new people. This lack of association is great considering she moved on to a more lawful car Sadie Adler tends to do the same type of justifying to Arthur Morgan and John Marston as they see her ultra-violent tendencies. The difference is that behind those character flaws Sadie has the right intentions and wants to make bad people pay for their acti Earlier the topic of Sadie Adler not being associated with the Van Der Linde gang in the news or with law enforcement was covered.
