The main notable unused animation is his backward kick, which still does work in the game, but it has barely any effect on enemies. This kick would launch enemies away from you, making horseback combat feel entirely useful. The reasons behind why it was cut are unsure, but it likely had to do with lining up the attacks correc After his triumphant victory, but before the main backstory events of Elden Ring collectibles Ring , the Blind Swordsman somehow crossed paths with the young Malenia, a Demigod of the Elden Ring __ born decaying, an Empyrean with the potential to bloom into a virulent Goddess of Rot itself. The Blind Swordsman might have been tempted to slay this ailing Demigod before she could become the new incarnation of his old foe. Instead, he became Malenia's mentor, teaching her his flowing, dance-like style of swordplay. In time, Malenia would make this style of sword-fighting her own, crafting the infamous Waterfowl Dance technique that has rendered so many **Elden Ring ** players apoplectic with r As with several other NPCs, her fate is left in your hands, but not before discovering a great many revelations concerning her nature and origin. If you followed her from the beginning, she, as well as the seafood purveyor she is involved with at the lake, will spin a small yarn telling of first impressions not always being what they s A prime example of this is Irina 's quest, an NPC you are likely to meet early in the game should you choose to go further south. A girl on the side of the road is worried about her father and wants you to deliver a message to him in the nearby castle. The only problem is that there'd been a bit of an uprising. You hack, slash, and bash your way through hordes of frightful creatures, and he will tell you he can't leave until the job (the boss fight) is finished. All fairly straightforw The Immortal Great Serpent convinced Lord Rykard that to achieve immortality and power beyond anything he's ever imagined, he would need to sacrifice his physical form by being devoured by the giant sn The serpent demigod hibernates beneath the fire and lava, whispering out to those who'd listen, promising them eternal life. Lord Rykard was entranced with the notion of becoming everlasting and all-powerful not only to merely avoid death but to pave the way for a new world order, one without the weakness of The Greater W This side quest truly requires you to go to the end of the earth and back to complete it. You'll find her dying in a secluded church in the most hated area of the game guarded by two centipedes. He also offers a service to you early in the game, although that service is quick to become obsolete after you find the means to do it yourself. He's such a great NPC, however, that you might just let him follow you along any Before new players even learn about the existence of the Blind Swordsman, they can acquire information about the origins of this mysterious hero when they pick up the Blue Cloth Set, the signature outfit of Elden Ring 's Warrior starting class . Its item description is as foll Developers of FromSoftware's Elden Ring are faced with a quandary when designing weapons and spells for RPGs like the studio's latest and previous works, such as Dark Souls and Bloodborne . Players of Elden Ring will generally encounter the Scarlet Rot within the Caelid Wilds area, transitioning rather brutally from the verdant green beauty of Limgrave into a festering of massive fungal growths, cancerously mutated monsters, and crimson soil, all beneath a burning blood-red sky. The Demigod boss called Starscrouge Radahn has been eaten up from the inside by this Scarlet Rot, reduced to a feral, cannibalistic monster. The surviving Redmane Soldiers of General Radahn act as a bulwark against the blight, holding the Rot at bay with steel, fire magic, primitive flame-spewing tanks, and barriers of molten rock; even these heroic sentinels, however, seem to be eroded by both the Scarlet Rot and the scorching fires they likely use to cleanse themselves of infection. In addition to the Rot's ravaging of Caelid, the infection has singularly crippled Malenia, one of the Lands Between's most fearsome warri
