Ever since the release of Batman: Arkham VR in 2016, there has been radio silence regarding the next title from the acclaimed British developer, which will be a step in a new direction away from the dark knight. Apparently, three years is not enough for us to get our first glimpse at their newest project, as Rocksteady Studios co-founder Sefton Hill took to Twitter the week before E3 to confirm that they will not be making their way to LA this year. Another game by From Software, Dark Souls is the one that everyone compares challenging games to. It has made a name for itself with its unforgiving combat and surprisingly deep world. Dark Souls did come out earlier than Sekiro and has been the game everyone seems to recommend. And it's not without good rea They may not have aged particularly gracefully, but there's still a lot to love about Acquire's classic Tenchu games. For one thing, they were some of the very earliest to offer alternating storylines; with Ayame and Rikimaru each taking different paths to the game's conclusion. What's more, they both control noticeably differently, which effectively leads to two very unique playthrou Sucker Punch Productions officially unveiled their latest game, Ghost of Tsushima , during Sony PlayStation's E3 2018 press conference, giving consumers their first look into a brand new open world game set in feudal Japan. Open world games have somewhat stagnated in recent years, but that's something that the developers behind beloved game franchises such as inFAMOUS and Sly Cooper are looking to change with their new title, which will eventually release exclusively on the PlayStatio Overall, Ghost of Tsushima's gameplay was every bit as impressive in great detail as it was shown during Sony's press conference. One of the things highlighted during the hands-off gameplay presentation was the physics-based engine and the realistic blood patterns. For instance, players will be able to see the exact spot they hit an enemy with their katana. And every individual blood particle has been designed to splatter as realistically as possible. Hopefully, we get to see more of that as the game continues to be refined in developm While this premise and story are much different than anything Sucker Punch has worked on before, Nate Fox finds something romantic about feudal Japan and believes it to be a setting underused by western develop After a few subpar releases, the series' fifth entry marks a true return to form and is definitely worth playing if you enjoy combat-heavy games. As with previous Devil May Cry games, the story is a little lackluster in places, and Nero remains something of an acquired taste. Even so, its fantastic visuals and exciting combat are more than enough to tip the scale in the game's fa Fox also mentioned in a follow-up group Q&A that they have spent a lot of time attempting to find a way to do justice to the samurai and people who suffered during the real-life Mongol invasions of Japan in the late 13th century. However, Ghost of Tsushima , while based on a real invasion, is a fictionalized story - and the names of all the samurai in the game have had their names changed in order to honor those that died on the beaches during the Mongolian invas As good as Sekiro is, it is still only one game, and fans may be left feeling a desire for more. Thankfully there are other games that can give you that same feeling of challenge and accomplishment. Here are some of the best games like SekBack in February, EA revealed during an earnings call that they would be releasing two new entries in two of their prominent franchises by March 31, 2020, with the first being a new Need for Speed. While next to nothing is known about the upcoming arcade racer, the publisher did share that fans won’t need to keep an eye on E3 this year for the first look, instead hinting that Gamescom could likely be the destination where the newest Need for Speed gets a full reveal. These sentiments came out during an interview with GamesIndustry.biz at VIEW Conference 2018 in Turin. As Sucker Punch and Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed previously, Ghost of Tsushima is set on the titular island between the Korean Peninsula and Japan, with players following one of the few remaining samurai that can fend off the Mongol invas So yeah, I do think that there's a lot more spaces to play in and I wish the industry would get a little bit wider. That said, I think the industry does a pretty good job at going to places that are unexpect Make no mistake, Sucker Punch drew up a wonderfully appealing world, but this lengthy gameplay demonstration shows that Ghost of Tsushima Beginner guide|https://tsushimalegend.com/ of Tsushima has a lot more going for it than its good looks. You can also check out the Japanese language trailer for a more authentic experie Ever since Nintendo's Smash Bros. Switch tease earlier this year, fans of the iconic brawler franchise have been forced into a grueling waiting game. Thankfully, it's safe to say E3 delivered the goods and created a satisfying anticipation for the upcoming Smash Bros. Ultimate . Not only did attendees have the chance to play the game themselves, but Nintendo confirmed with an insanely long gameplay trailer that per usual, Smash Bros . will be worth the w

I love samurai, and I imagine you do too, if you're reading this. Some of my favorite pieces of media have constructed stories revolving around Japan's warrior class, including great films like The Last Samurai and Seven Samurai , as well as notable anime like Samurai Champloo and Afro Samurai. Of course, I can't forget to mention games like Nioh , Bushido Blade, Samurai Shodown, Onimusha, and my personal favorite, Total War: Shogu In most cases, this is done to give the team behind them more time to make sure the game launches at the best time and to its best quality. In other words, while many may hate having to wait just a little longer, it will hopefully result in a better game at lau In 2017, it was revealed that Sucker Punch was working on a project unlike anything we've seen from the studio before called Ghost of Tsushima, a game set in feudal Japan during the Mongol Empire's invasion of the country . This was completely out of left field, coming from the studio that's most well known for the Sly Cooper and inFAMOUS series. While I enjoyed those games, I never thought the studio would end up creating one of my most anticipated PlayStation exclusives. With E3 just around the corner, we'll definitely be seeing Ghost of Tsushima present during Sony's presentat What fans do know about Ghost of Tsushima is exciting, though. The gameplay that's been demonstrated looks compelling, a mixture between tense stealth and gorgeous combat, and it's made even more interesting by the fact that Sucker Punch is working with real samurai to help develop Ghost of Tsushima and make it as authentic as possible. According to Sony boss Shuhei Yoshida, Ghost of Tsushima multiplayer|https://tsushimalegend.com/ of Tsushima's graphics are also so good that even he was impressed when he got to check out the game this summer - a comment that not only got consumers excited, but led to speculation that the game might actually release sometime in 2 Sucker Punch’s open-world game set in feudal Japan blew us away at E3 2018. With stark visuals and an approach that favored realism, Ghost of Tsushima is trying to create a Samurai adventure that is as authentic as possible. Sucker Punch is clearly working hard to ensure Ghost of Tsushima delivers a compelling game and narrative without going over-the-top. There is still a lot of Ghost of Tsushima that is left unsaid, but for an initial tease, what Sucker Punch brought to E3 was enough to leave us intrigued. It says a lot that something as seemingly simple as leaves moving on the ground had everyone talk There are still a lot of questions that I have about Ghost of Tsushima. The game has been hidden from PlayStation fans for many years, and I'm sure many of you were just as surprised as I was when we found out this was Sucker Punch's next epic tale. I want Ghost of Tsushima to be great; in fact, I want it to be looked to as the precedent for samurai games and more. My E3 dream is that this will be the samurai game I've always dreamt of play Sadly, exactly dates were not provided. Watch Dogs Legion and its unique gameplay was originally slated to release March 6, 2020, but now it could release anytime between April 1, 2020 through March 31, 2021. While it seems likely that it will release in the earlier part of that fiscal year, an exact release date has not been confir It may not have had the clout of a Halo or Gears but Ori and the Blind Forest still stands as one of the best Microsoft exclusives of this generation. And its follow-up, Ori and the Will of the Wisps , looks to take things to the next level with refined platforming, better combat, and (if that’s even possible) even better-looking visuals. Although the devs at Moon Studios could have easily copied and pasted the formula from Ori 1 onto Ori 2 and called it a day, they are looking to make Will of the Wisps one of the best platformers ever made. Based on what we played, Ori and the Will of the Wisps plays and looks better than its predecessor and it still has a lot of that same maThe second tease at the end of Bethesda’s E3 2018 appearance was for the sixth entry in the developer’s mega-popular fantasy franchise. Much like Starfield, nothing has been shown about Elder Scrolls VI since its reveal and Howard also stated during the aforementioned panel that it would not have a presence at E3 this year, since the title is likely due after the release of Starfield. At the very end of Bethesda’s E3 press conference last year, Todd Howard wrapped up the presentation with two brief teases for the developer’s next pair of open world RPGs. The first was a brand-new IP set in space known as Starfield, which Howard has since confirmed during a PAX East panel is still very early in development and will not appear during the studio’s briefing this year. Developers id Software and Avalanche Studios have put together a playground of carnage for Rage 2 . Where the first game was a showpiece for id Tech, this sequel is all about giving players a handful of tools (both cool weapons and abilities) and letting them loose. The game is fast-paced and violent in a way that doesn’t feel celebratory but is exciting enough to make the loop feel satisfying. Much like Doom before it, Rage 2 looks to take the existing framework and dial everything up to

PlayStation fans knew to expect Ghost of Tsushima at Sony's E3 2018 press conference, but those expectations didn't make the trailer that Sucker Punch Productions showed any less impressive. The Washington-based developer showed fans that they've been hard at work during the past four years and that development is going well on the PlayStation 4 exclusive. The latest video starred the game's protagonist Jin, who is the island of Tsushima's " only hope against the ruthless Khan and his vicious empir Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima will feature a progression system which can evolve the player character into a " samurai commando ". The trailer for Ghost of Tsushima , which was revealed during Sony's E3 press conference, shows the game's protagonist, Jin, making use of several talents outside of the normal skillset of the samurai, which demonstrates how the main character progresses through the game st As a fan of Bungie’s multiplayer-focused first person shooter, Destiny 2 , I always come back to it when new content emerges. However, I’d be lying if I said that the expansions that have been released have been top notch. Destiny 2: Forsaken , the next big expansion for the popular game, aims to rectify that with loads of new content that will not only bring me back but have me excited to play when it releases in September. Plus, the bow and arrow is far and away the best weapon Destiny will have to offer. That alone is a good enough reason to come b Going in, I was optimistic. However, after they showed me extended footage of what was shown on Microsoft’s stage a few days prior, I was sold. If anything, Dying Light 2 is incredibly ambitious and if it successfully pulls off what it is trying to accomplish, like its dynamic open-world and fluid parkour combat, I have no doubt this will be a great title when it eventually relea When Watch Dogs Legion was unveiled and it was revealed that there were several playable characters such as the granny assassin, it was a big deal for the franchise. Watch Dogs 2 wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but this showed real promise. Shortly after Sony's delays were revealed, Ubisoft followed up with several delays of its own, including for Watch Dogs Legion . Ubisoft essentially explained that it was due to recent under-performances such as Breakpoint , which could have been caused by too many games releasing too closely together, so it chose to delay three games into the next fiscal y Open world games, especially huge ones, have got to have progression, that thing you're going for. Now, Jin [Sakai]'s evolution from a samurai, and being an expert swordsman, expert archer, and so forth, what are the techniques he picks up along the way? We saw one of them - a clear example here: a grappling hook. It's not something a samurai would have. It's an aspect of progression and a good example of how you become more capable by unlocking more ways to solve a situation. He didn't have to climb that temple to take out those Mongols; he could've gone in through the front door. The monk might've been killed, but that is an example of progressions. It's absolutely part of the game. It's how you transition from this guy, who is kind of bound by the rules of conduct, to becoming more of a samurai commando. ...There's no supernatural elements in this Shortly after rumors began to circulate online, The Last of Us 2 director Neil Druckmann came forth and announced the delay. Considering its February 21 release date was just announced last month, this may have left a bad taste in some mouths, but Druckmann promises that it will be worth the wait and explains that the team just needed more time to ensure that it hit "Naughty Dog Quality." The Last of Us 2 will now release on May 29, 2020, which is just a small three month w The new Ghost of Tsushima trailer (seen above) released during Sony's E3 2018 press conference today. Set on the Isle of the Blessed, Gods & Monsters is an open-world action-adventure game complete with unique trials and puzzles, dungeons to explore, and legendary quests to undertake. It was originally supposed to release first, on February 25, 2020, but it has also been pushed back. It seems likely that this will release first in the new schedule, but there will likely be more distance between it and Watch Dogs Legion . That said, until Ubisoft confirms the new release dates, there's no way of knowing when Gods & Monsters will d With a focus on character inclusivity and fine-tuning on mechanics, this is a game built from the ground-up with the competitive scene in mind.
