There are several more characters that the player does have access to, but they are locked behind microtransacti The one thing that can be said in Party Edition 's favor is that Oh My Godheads does feel more at home on Nintendo's handheld/console hybrid than any other system. The portable and casual skewing aspect of the Switch molds perfectly to Oh My Godheads ' simple party game vibe. Unfortunately a new system doesn't create a new game. Oh My Godheads: Party Edition is bizarre and amusing, especially with three friends, but it's still a rather shallow gaming experie The first stage shown off for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl seems to be related to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles . Though it could also just be a basic stage that's not related to any property. Each character is shown popping up on a rooftop location. In several shots, the characters are also battling across the stage, which means it will likely be playable. Next, is at least one stage based on Spongebob Squarepants . Early in the trailer, a few characters are fighting on a pirate ship. Later, the characters are fighting through the Jelly Fish Fields. It's tough to say, but this could be a single stage where the ship pops up in the middle of a battle. Either way, they're definitely straight from the Spongebob cart Oh My Godheads: Party Edition _ is one of the strangest games in recent memory. That's meant to be taken (mostly) as a compliment. With multiple difficulty levels, indicators showing where pieces are able to be moved, and robust AI there is something on display for all kinds of players. Brawl Chess does suffer from a lack of content, however, and many of the cosmetic options are locked behind microtransactions, which may turn off quite a few gam Oh My Godheads occasionally taps into the unbridled joy of the N64 multiplayer era but only in brief bursts. There's not enough depth to justify more than a 15 minute stretch of Oh My Godheads at a time, no matter the chosen mode. The controls are simple to grasp but there's no real sense of progression or skill to them. These gameplay problems obviously won't change much if there was online multiplayer involved but its exclusion is noticeable and a problem. If a Nintendo Switch owner doesn't have three friends around the enjoyment level of the game shrinks up to nonexistence. Oh My Godheads has a solid pick-and-play base but it never goes beyond it. One of the biggest potential issues could come from the roster's size. Ever since Super Smash Bros. Ultimate brought party-fighting game rosters close to the triple digits, some gamers have come to expect a wealth of options for who they can play as. While Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl does have some surprising features that Ultimate doesn't , some gamers might get tired of a paltry roster sooner rather than la The last set of stages seen in the trailer come from Invader Zim , Danny Phantom , and The Loud House . Zim 's stage looks to take place in space, while Danny Phantom 's stage takes place in some kind of alternate dimension. The titular house from The Loud House looks to feature as its own stage while kitchen level looks like it's probably from The Ren & Stimpy Show _ .
