Not only was the Metroid Prime 4 announcement surprising, but so too was the confirmation that the game isn't being developed by Retro Studios . Retro worked on the original trilogy of Metroid Prime games, and many fans were expecting the studio to return for Metroid Prime 4 , only to learn that the game is being developed by a brand new team. But if Retro Studios isn't working on Metroid Prime 4 , what could it possibly be developing? Its last game, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze , launched three years ago, so the timing is right for Retro to showcase its next project, whether that's at next year's E3 or during a special Nintendo Dir As the third part of Microsoft's Arcade Next XBLA promotion (which has included Bloodforge and Trials Evolution so far) Fable Heroes fits the casual, family-friendly bill. A cooperative button masher that combines elements of Lionhead Studios' wildly popular series and a more traditional board game, Fable Heroes is very hard to label - and even harder to expl Unfortunately, a lot of what Fable Heroes brings to the table, aside from that, is dull and uninteresting. Combat devolves into mashing the same button over and over again, and earning coins, while competitive, doesn't carry quite the joy that it should. Lionhead does infuse a few of its signature Fable flairs, like branching paths and good vs. evil choices, into the game but both are either too few and far between, or just a different way to prolong the experience. Players take on the role of Gabriel, a dweller who is living a happy, but simple life with his tribe in Albion. After a sudden lightning storm, Gabriel is separated from his caravan and forced to find an alternate route to reunite with them. Soon after, our hero is caught up in the attack of an earth-shattering force known as The Corruption. Narrowly escaping the spreading darkness, Gabriel meets the mysterious Theresa. The last of the hero bloodline, she’s tasked with protecting the world from evil that threatens it. Gabriel must help restore her power by taking her to the Tattered Spire. To assist in this quest, spell-casting bracelets are harnessed to protect them from the evils of Albion. On the bottom left, players will notice a Parasaur, a dinosaur commonly found in starting areas and on beaches of ARK maps. These herbivores make great pack mules and mounts, as they can carry a lot and still run relatively quickly. Above it there's a human riding on a Triceratops , one of the best defensive mounts that players can get early on in the first game. Finally, in the top right there is what appears to be a drawing of a Stegosaur, a dinosaur that in the previous game provided great utility for harvesting a variety of different types of resour In the days leading up to E3, the news broke that both Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Kingdom Hearts 3 were years away from launch . After learning this, many assumed this meant that neither game would show up at E3. However, Kingdom Hearts 3 actually did get a new trailer, whereas Final Fantasy 7 Remake wasn't even mentioned. There have been rumblings that Final Fantasy 7 Remake has undergone some serious development struggles behind the scenes, but hopefully those fears will be put to rest the next time we see the game in action, whenever that may After escaping the T-Rex and the enemy clan, Vin Diesel and his group find themselves in a ruin full of technology . Of note, the child in the trailer examines a rock with several carvings on it. Though this mural certainly doesn't confirm any dinosaurs, it should be said that there are several on it that didn't show up in the trailer. Aside from the T-Rex and Brontosaurus which already had spotlights, there are at least three other dinosaurs shown that aren't yet accounted Besides combat and travel, there are plenty of other motion-based opportunities throughout Albion. Activities like corralling chickens, lighting lanterns and moving obstacles may seem mundane, but serve to enrich the experience, making sure there’s always a fresh task to keep players interested. Most of these secondary actions have their own unique movements to avoid redundancies. Not content to let your arms have all the fun, there will be times where multiple paths can be selected from by bending your torso left or right. With all the different movements, it’s clear Lionhead was content on utilizing the full potential of motion-control.
