I couldn't think of a better series to begin with than Metal Gear Solid . The series has always treated its bosses with a strange admiration. The fights were always unique and forced players to use all their wits. However, the most memorable bosses came from Metal Gear Solid . Aside from their creativity, each boss has their own unique storyline. Well, at least most of them do, as Decoy Octopus is never actually fleshed out. But the main five each get to not only tell their side of the story of why they went rogue, but also each reveals something about Snake's own personality. Sniper Wolf reflects Snake's existence as a lifelong soldier, someone never really given a choice in fighting. Vulcan Raven reflects the deaths and betrayals that seem to follow Snake around. But the most memorable of all, on par with the lasting villains of the series like Liquid Snake and Revolver Ocelot, was Psycho Mantis.Kefka's insanity stands out amongst just about every other RPG villain, and not just because he was the first. Even to this day, Kefka still stands out. His personality, warped by his exposure to magic, was that of an evil clown. However he was so much more than that. He is still to date one of the best examples of delightfully pure evil, the kind of villain that you could not stop watching because you had no idea what he was actually capable of. Even today, Kefka's legacy lasts. Sure Sephiroth comes close, but no other Final Fantasy villain, or any RPG villain really, has come close to the level of evil that Kefka was able to reach. Smash Bros. ? Zelda HD ? Donkey Kong ? Metroid ? Nope. To the disturbed and stunned silence of all present, the world was treated to b-roll of a fireworks display taking place in Nintendoland. Words simply cannot expr A lot can be said about Destiny 2 ’s first year. It had its ups and downs, and parts of it left a sour taste in many players’ mouths. However, Destiny 2 ’s Forsaken expansion was a return to form for Bungie and a major improvement to the game. From the fun and exciting new subclasses to the ever-evolving mystery of the Dreaming City (which is still being unraveled at the time of writing), Destiny 2: Forsaken brought back what many fans of Destiny loved: a ho If it wasn't, however, a more likely setting would be North Korea. Not only is its climate and environment diverse, but there's a monsoon season that could add another layer to its gameplay factor. North Korea has actually been tossed around for quite some time by fans of Far Cry , so it would also be great fan service to see a game steeped into North Korean polit What’s new with this one is that the seasons will change, creating new environments to explore and hazards to avoid. Forza Horizon 4 lets players explore the UK with up to 72 players per server, so it’s no wonder that players are finding Forza Horizon 4 to be one of the best racing games of all t Both may be shooters, but Far Cry is an action-adventure franchise too. Players are able to stop and take in their surrounding areas much better than a war-focused first-person shooter. It's not impossible, but for it to work out as well and especially among its competition, Battlefield 6 would really need to emphasize the influence of the war on surrounding areas, moreso than in the p _ Far Cry 4 _ played with this idea a little bit, but the factions were specifically part of the plot. You only got to side with one faction or the other at the very end. A faction system that is affected by gameplay would be a welcome addition. You could take down an outpost, then decide which faction gets to control it. It would be a nice change of pace and would open many story possibilities since you’re constantly changing the flow of battle between these factions. To make things interesting, each faction could also have their own perk that solely belongs to them. Meaning you can't use that perk unless you are partnered with them at the time. This would make the choices a lot toug Far Cry , the very first game, took place in Micronesia, while Far Cry 2 took the franchise to Africa. Far Cry 6 Collectibles|Https://Farcry6Zone.Com/ Cry 3 brought in the iconic villain Vaas Montenegro and took place on Rook Island in the Pacific. The next numbered entry took players to the Himalayas and pitted them against Pagan Min, while Far Cry 5 brought players to Montana in a fight against a religious cult. And these are only the number entries, practically beginning the question of where Far Cry 6 willThere are plenty of other great villains in gaming. From the scummy CEO Antagonist of Alpha Protocol , who offers you a job after you foil his plans (and to the games credit, you can accept), to the mathematical madness of Sho Minamimoto from The World Ends With You , through Saren Arterius in Mass Effect , you can often find good villains in the strangest of places. The above list is by no means a definitive list either, as one of the best things about games is our abundance of enjoyable and charismatic villains. That said, for truly great villains, you need to look back, and see which ones you still fondly remember years later. I have no doubt that GLaDOS, like Kefka and Psycho Mantis before her, will stand this test of time. At the same time, I look forward to games like Far Cry 3 for giving me new, charismatic villains to look forward to meeting. While a great villain wont necessarily make or break a game, it has the power to transform a good game into a fantastic one.
