Assassin's Creed has been all over the map lately between the quality of its games and the way the marketing team is choosing to present them to us. Unfortunately for the newest installment to the on-going and seemingly endless series, Ubisoft doesn’t make much of an effort to sell it. As per its title, the game is set in Tolkien's middle-earth and encompasses much of the lore detailed in the author's many novels. There are even one or two familiar faces thrown in there just for good measure, though it's really the gameplay that takes center stage in this one rather than the characters or narrative. The sequel's pretty good too, although fails to recapture the brilliance of its predeces Typical DLC (downloadable content) comes in the form of levels or expansions. Back in the old days, PC games would receive "Expansion Packs," such as StarCraft: Brood War or Diablo: Hellfire ; they're not sequels, but they, as their classification suggests, expand upon the content of the original game, while working within the same framework and engine as the origi The emotional tone and treatment of Colossus made it quite clear that lead designer Fumito Ueda had crafted the spiritual successor to the studio's first game, Ico , but the game's closing moments made the connections far more concrete. It's still difficult to determine the story being told through both games, but the two remain experiences best grouped together for the foreseeable fut It’s these little additions that have made photo mode such a fun tool to goof around with, and why it keeps getting added in any game that lets you openly explore. Most recently, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey received its own photo mode that lets you capture all of Kassandra or Alexios’ incredibly long adventure through Ancient Gre This year's other huge game which blocks off player progression behind loot boxes is EA's Star Wars Battlefront II. Many multiplayer shooters feature loot boxes, such as the previously-mentioned Overwatch, as well as Call of Duty and EA's own Battlefield . However, while the contents of those games' loot boxes only ever contain cosmetic items, the recent beta for Star Wars suggests that Star Cards, the crux of the game's entire progression system, are tied to opening loot boxes. Of course, they can be purchased with real money. When loot boxes are purely cosmetic, the argument can be made that it doesn't matter how expensive they are, since they cannot effect gameplay balance. But someone who puts down a ton of money on Battlefront II right away will have a distinct advantage against someone who does Sequel or no, Dark Souls found the North American word-of-mouth that its predecessor couldn't, making it a household name and guaranteeing a sequel . What is most surprising is that Demon's Souls was, itself, a spiritual successor to From's past King's Field series. So the third time really is the charm, at least where extremely punishing action-RPGs are concerThe worst part of the trailer is the actual "gameplay" that is provide the clip is barely even ten seconds worth of footage and all we see is the character diving into a hay bail. There is no real indication of how this game will play or what it’s even about, however, if you were to do some research about the game you can find a video called Assassin’s Creed Identity- Q&A Part 1, which was published two days after the announcement for the game. The video gives a detailed description on what players can expect from the game regarding its gameplay paired with video clips of actual gameplay longer than five seconds. Now the original announcement trailer could be taken as a "teaser" trailer, but with the state of the franchise the way it is on console, it's not a good idea to make your mobile debut trailer a live action setup with virtually no indication of actual gameplay. Following the negative reception to what fans have rightly decried as shamelessly Pay to Win in a way which ruins gameplay balance, EA promised that things would be different when the game finally releases on November 17. They've assured players that the system will be more balanced than it was in the Beta, but time will tell if that ultimately pans out in favor of the play It's October, which means the biggest video games of the season are upon us. Call of Duty WWII , Star Wars Battlefront II , Middle-earth: Shadow of War , Super Mario Odyssey , and Assassin's Creed Shadows tips|https://creedshadowgame.com/ Creed Origins are just a few of the many heavy hitters vying for the attention of consumers this holiday sea Let’s look at the most recent photo mode to take the internet by storm. Marvel’s Spider-Man , arguably, has the best photo mode of the year so far. It is essentially a love letter to the Marvel superhero, thanks to all the filters and borders you can use to personalize your captured moment. For myself, all I wanted to do was make comic book covers with the cover border. It also helps that it is one of the best looking games the PS4 has to offer; even up close, the details on Spider-Man’s various suits look fantastic, and the game's photo mode only helps to bring that out m
