On September 4, 2018, Bungie released Forsaken, the first major expansion for Destiny 2. From this moment onward, the game changed for the better. Just as The Taken King saved the original Destiny, it’s likely that Forsaken saved Destiny 2. With its launch, many of the inherent problems were done away with. New sub-classes were introduced with new Supers, ability recharge times were tuned to align more closely with how they were in Destiny 2 story guide 1 and Randomly rolled loot was back with even more ways to earn it. On top of all this, Two new locations were added, there were more secrets similar to the excellent "The Whisper " secret exotic quest from Warmind tucked away for players to find, and it was all capped-off with "Last Wish," one of the best raids in the series to date. With Forsaken, Destiny was finally back, and many fans were feeling happy.Destiny 2 has been on a more or less upward trend since then. The game’s been getting better and players have more ways to enjoy their time in the game now than ever before. This isn’t to say that there haven’t been problems of course. Bungie has put a lot of effort into delivering continuous, seasonal content since the launch of Forsaken, and that content has run the gamut from bad to actually pretty good. Perhaps "bad" is actually too strong of a word to use regarding any of this content. Instead, it’s probably better to say that Destiny 2’s seasonal offerings were underwhelming at worst.Unfortunately, there’s almost no way to earn these items through gameplay. Random tiers on the Battle Pass (we’ll get to that) drop Engrams that contain some of this gear. Other than that, players need to rely on two currencies: This is not only the result of Unstoppable Rounds, but also just how much damage this weapon does when proccing Explosive Shadow , which is easy to do on Champions when they are stunned and unable to m If players can now carry their rewards wherever they go, it seems unlikely that they have anything to be upset about, right? Unfortunately, there are still some major hoops that Destiny 2 players will have to climb through to get everything from this event. Once players complete the grueling grind to a glowing Magnificent set of armor, they do not automatically unlock the ornaments to match. In fact, players only unlock the right to buy the ornaments from the Destiny 2 Eververse store. What’s worse, the cost of the ornaments put them above and beyond nearly everything else available in the stSilver is Destiny 2’s premium currency that can only be purchased with real-world money. Meanwhile, Bright Dust was introduced as an in-game currency that would allow players to earn Eververse items without Silver. With Shadowkeep, however, Bungie has significantly neutered what players can buy all while increasing the amount of Bright Dust players can earn. Items purchasable with Bright Dust are hidden away in a less-than-stellar menu. Only a few items are available at a time with new ones rotating in every few hours. In the end, this Solstice of Heroes seems like a net positive for Destiny 2 players . The universal ornaments can be used indefinitely and players are welcome to upgrade their armor as much as they choose. It’s clear that some of the tasks necessary to upgrade the armor are far harder than others. That balance has always been very challenging to strike. But expecting some deep, intricate event to wrap up the year that is to include all players, even those without the expansions, is a simply a miss. The event is supposed to be pretty simple, fun, and with bright, shiny rewards that **Destiny 2 ** players can show off far into the future. Beyond Light draws near. Let’s hope Guardians are re The Witch Queen expansion seal ranks nearly among the highest in terms of expansions, simply because of two things: it requires players to kill champions in the Throne World , which implies players need to engage in endgame PVE content, and it also requires the completion of a Legendary campaign missDestiny 2: New Light comes with all content and activities associated with Years 1 of Destiny 2. That includes Destiny 2, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind. New players can access these campaigns by visiting Amanda Holliday in the Tower’s hangar. The Magnificent Armor is where the real work begins. Each player is gifted a Renewed set of armor that has low stats and looks old and dilapidated. Every piece of the set has a subset of tasks associated with it. These might include goals such as Complete Five Strikes, or Get 50 Precision Kills, or other things to that effect. Once players complete all requirements on all five pieces of gear, the armor can be upgraded to the Majestic versions with higher stats and better aesthetics. With this upgrade also comes a new, more challenging set of objectives to complete for each armor piece once again. In 2020, this first upgrade also unlocks the universal ornaments for the set as w
