This aspect connects to the same idea as the lack of a heads-up display. The spirit of Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't progression. It's the experience. Whatever that means to the player. In other open-world games, there is a desire for completion. There are quests, collectibles, achievements, and a myriad of other things to finish. Rockstar doesn't want you to complete their game. They want you to live in it. If you're completing something, then you're also moving on to the next thing. But Red Dead Redemption 2 is asking you to stay. So it's not going to help you finish anything. Figure it out on your Like Jack Gleeson who portrayed Joffrey Baratheon in Game collectibles of Thrones, Blomquist does an incredible job at making players which nothing but disdain upon their character. Fans may never forgive Micah Bell, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't appreciate Blomquist's performa Micah Bell's horse is named Baylock and is a male Missouri Fox Trotter. Its darker body and light face make the horse look an awful lot like the Dark Horse from the first Red Dead Redemption. The Dark Horse would only spawn in the first game if the player had a low honor level. When putting that into account it seems that the horse picked for Micah Bell was intentional and meant as another piece of foreshadowing teasing the type of person he would reveal himself to be by journey's Drinking coffee in the morning. Grooming your horse. Taking care of your guns. Talking to the members of your camp. Not all gaming moments have to revolve around epic quests and crazy gunfights. As Zombieland taught us, "Enjoy the little things." And Rockstar has made Red Dead Redemption 2 a mountain of small moments. If you really want to escape into a game, then you have to believe in the world, and the little details that Rockstar has infused into every aspect of the game helps us to forget the world we live in and embrace Arthur's life in Red Dead RedemptionIn many ways, the reason John Marston pursues a better life and commits to being a better man is because of Arthur Morgan. Arthur's not a perfect person, but the entirety of the game's campaign focuses on a man coming to terms with the fact that he's a better man than the life he's lived.Once Dutch began to lose his mind, Javier seemed to become ultra-defensive of the leader in a weird state of denial. He looked up to and believed in Dutch so much, that the drastic change in Dutch shook Javier to his core as his ideal leader crumbled to insanity. I don't think those are the main issues, but I feel like their presence in tandem with the poor reception of Red Dead Online has a lot to do with the game's relative silence. I was among the few who were excited beyond belief to relive my own childhood: the allure of being a bandit once again with my pals online was too much to bear. But, upon arrival, I immediately felt Red Dead Online was lacking in a multitude of facets. With all these varying intentions converging, Red Dead Redemption 2 became an out-of-place mixture that couldn't tell the difference between complicated and simplicity. Whether it be a movie, television show, or video game, if the story contains some type of emotional element, it becomes the music's job to drive that element home. If you played Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 last year, you experienced a story with a fair amount of emotional complexity that challenged the themes of loyalty, morality, and freedom, and did so in a way that resembled nothing short of a masterpiece. Like most stories of this nature, an enormous bow was needed to tie all of those layers together and create an experience that was just as moving as a movie you'd see at the theater, or a television show that you'd watch at home. Woody Jackson's The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2: Original Score serves as that metaphorical bow, elevating the game to be the immersive, unforgettable experience that is Red Dead Redemption The song that stood out the most for me personally was Revenge Is A Dish Best Eaten , which served as the musical counterpart for the game's mission of the same name. It begins with an elegant string section, calling into mind the city of Saint Denis and the lavishly devious character of Angelo Bronte. Soon after, an eerie horn emerges into the piece, serving representative to Dutch in a tension-building contrast to Angelo Bronte's strings. The two instruments, while complementing each other, build two separate forms of tension in the same way that the ego-centric, power-hungry personalities of Dutch and Bronte clash with one another. The two personalities dance around with each other until they can no longer coexist. The horns build, rapid guitar strums emerge, then we experience an unnerving high set of strings, right before everything stops all at once for a brief moment. In that brief moment, Dutch kills Bronte. Right as it passes, a heavy string section crashes in to represent Arthur Morgan's horror in realizing just how far Dutch has strayed from the man he once k
