Without a doubt, it'll be interesting to see where the Battlefield franchise goes next. There are plenty of possibilities as to what the next entry will look like, but another modern game feels like a good way to kick off the next generation of Battlefield games. Battlefield would eventually implement some broader aspects of weapon/equipment customization as a result, but never compromised on its commitment to team strategy. Then, Gunsmith in Modern Warfare brought weapon customization to a new le Battlefield is often a much more team-focused game, especially with its classes and specialists designed to fulfill a specific role in battle.
