Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance will bring players to Icewind Dale , promising true homage to classic action RPG gameplay, allowing friends to team up and slay enemies together. Tuque Games' Jeff Hattem describes it as, "Putting the action back in action RPGs." The video appears to show gameplay in first-person view, giving the impression that this may resemble Dungeons and Dragon's own take on Warhammer's Vermentide form These are uncertain times, and the state of the world seems to be shifting on a daily basis. Video games are relatively low on the totem pole of immediate crises facing civilization at the moment, but with so much of the population forced to self-quarantine for their own safety and the safety of others, it's easy to see why the passionate PlayStation fandom would be worried about the release status of tent-pole titles like Ghost of Tsushi Aside from The Last of Us Part II , which will release on May 29th, Ghost of Tsushima is likely to be one of the last major PlayStation 4 exclusives, with the release of the PlayStation 5 set for the end of 2020. Following Sony's announcement that they would forego E3 yet again, and with no State of Play presentations currently announced, fans had begun to wonder when a release date or more information on the action-packed samurai title would emerge. Thankfully, today's new Ghost of Tsushima trailer gave those players exactly what they had been waiting There's also the fact that Ghost of Tsushima quite literally looks like it could be one of the prettiest games ever made. Speaking of that gameplay demo from 2018, I'm hard-pressed to actually believe that what we were shown was running on a PS4 Pro. Seriously, how is that even possible? The level of detail and the high-fidelity visuals that we were shown look like they should only be possible on a PC, or maybe an Xbox One X. If these kinds of graphics are possible on even the weakest "premium" platform around, then that's pretty incredible. Games like this are why I invested in a 4K TV and a PS4 Pro in the first place and I'm hoping Ghost of Tsushima's finalized iteration will look just as stunning as what we've been shown thus Last year, Seattle-based developer Sucker Punch Productions celebrated the 20th anniversary of their first game release, Rocket: Robot on Wheels for the Nintendo 64, which has likely become the developer’s only title to release on a non-Sony platform. After signing a deal with Sony in 2000, Sucker Punch went on to produce two prominent PlayStation-exclusive trilogies, starting with the stealth platformers of Sly Cooper on PS2, and followed by the open world super-powered adventures of InFamous that spanned across PS3 and PS4. The largely-positive receptions of the six games has led Sucker Punch to become one of Sony’s predominant first party developers alongside Naughty Dog and Insomniac, but since releasing Infamous: Second Son (and its spinoff First Light ) in 2014, the team has slowed down their release schedule as they work on their most ambitious game to date, Ghost of Tsushima. Originally revealed near the end of 2017, Sucker Punch has returned to the realm of open world journeys but turned the clock back to the 13th century, as one of the last samurai of ancient Japan looks to defend his people against the invading Mongols. With Sony yet to provide any hands-on opportunities with the title despite it being less than three months until release, one would be better suited to look back at Sucker Punch’s history and the strongest elements of their games to potentially determine the key lessons that went into developing Ghost of Tsushima. While much remains to be revealed about Ghost of Tsushima , there is a fair bit of information already available for curios fans. The game is set in an open world but will not be a Full Post-fledged RPG, instead following a more structured story. As shown off in the E3 2018 gameplay trailer, Ghost of Tsuhuma's combat is "skill-based," but that doesn't mean only hardcore players will be able to enjoy it. Ghost of Tsushima's creative director explained that combat isn't as challenging as Bloodborne's and that it's instead "a game that's meant for the mainstream gaming audience." Still, fans have yet to see how combat elements like the smoke bomb will play into that skill-based sys Sony first lifted the veil on Ghost of Tsushima back at Paris Games Week 2017 with a short trailer that let us know the game would be taking place during the Mongol invasion of Japan. The game centers around a samurai by the name of Jin Sakai, but other details of the story and characters aren't really widely known just yet. On the gameplay front, all that Sucker Punch has opted to show us so far has been one demo at E3 2018 followed by another trailer that featured some more snippets of gameplay and a release window back at The Game Awards 2 During the company's final State of Play livestream for 2019, Sony showed a 60-second teaser for a new Ghost of Tsushima trailer. The full trailer will be shown at The Game Awards on December 12 at 8:30 p.m. EST, but the State of Play clip gives viewers a glimpse at what the new trailer could reveal. It begins with a group of armored Mongolian soldiers, wheeling a heavy cart through a yellow forest on the island of Tsushima, Japan. They spot the game's masked protagonist, Jin, silhouetted dramatically against the light at the edge of the trees. They then draw their swords and charge, and Jin responds by drawing his and pulling a smoke bomb from his belt, slamming it into the ground below him. It's not much, but it does give viewers a hint at how Jin could develop into a "samurai commando, " gaining new tools (like smoke bombs) over the course of the g
