Kefka's insanity stands out amongst just about every other RPG villain, and not just because he was the first. Even to this day, Kefka still stands out. His personality, warped by his exposure to magic, was that of an evil clown. However he was so much more than that. He is still to date one of the best examples of delightfully pure evil, the kind of villain that you could not stop watching because you had no idea what he was actually capable of. Even today, Kefka's legacy lasts. Sure Sephiroth comes close, but no other Final Fantasy villain, or any RPG villain really, has come close to the level of evil that Kefka was able to reach. Crackdown 3 will welcome players back to New Providence, where they will need to take down the bosses and Kingpins of the city using a variety of weapons. The new title will introduce a new feature, too, where bosses and Kingpins start taking notice of those players destroying their properties and people throughout the city and retaliate. The game also features a co-op mode that will allow four Xbox Live friends to take out these violent gangs and their empires together. Players can enjoy the violent chaos of destruction that comes with removing the criminal element from the city with their frieKefka is probably the epitome of the egomaniac. He is someone who believes himself to be a god, and damn near almost becomes one. Well, he actually does become one, you just have to bring him down. Kefka, at his most basic, is actually a rather generic bad guy. He wants to control the world, even if it is just a husk. What makes him so interesting as a villain, is that his mad plan actually succeeds. Far Cry 2 can sometimes be a divisive topic for fans, meaning they either love it or hate it. One thing fans can't deny is that the game did a lot to bring the franchise forward from its outlandish beginnings. Far Cry 6 would do well to incorporate elements from Far Cry 2 into a more modern presentation. The sheer size of the open world, the emphasized open-ended mission structure, the comprehensive buddy system, a more grounded story, and divisive but innovative gameplay mechanics brought the series to modern gaming in a big way. Insanity was an integral part of the Far Cry 3 narrative, but Far Cry 2 emphasized insanity on a fundamental gameplay le However, there's a lot of buzz around one key word for each game: location. Insiders have seemingly indicated over the course of a few weeks that Far Cry 6 's location would be "interesting" and Battlefield 6 will be modern. Yet there's little reason that Battlefield 6 can't be b Recent Far Cry games have been masterful in weaving the series' signature insanity into the narrative to make characters and the story more intimidating or exciting. But gameplay elements in recent entries have just felt like good shooters, not necessarily an insane experience. Obviously adding more "insanity" to the gameplay would need to be handled with some nuance, considering gun durability and the high enemy encounter rate in Far Cry 2 saw plenty of complaints. That said, adding elements of unpredictability that influences player vulnerability could help to mix up the gameplay and provide more of a challenge. Games like Breath of the Wild incorporated vulnerable gameplay mechanics in interesting ways, so Far Cry 6 could easily do something simiThere are plenty of other great villains in gaming. From the scummy CEO Antagonist of Alpha Protocol , who offers you a job after you foil his plans (and to the games credit, you can accept), to the mathematical madness of Sho Minamimoto from The World Ends With You , through Saren Arterius in Mass Effect , you can often find good villains in the strangest of places. The above list is by no means a definitive list either, as one of the best things about games is our abundance of enjoyable and charismatic villains. That said, for truly great villains, you need to look back, and see which ones you still fondly remember years later. I have no doubt that GLaDOS, like Kefka and Psycho Mantis before her, will stand this test of time. At the same time, I look forward to games like Far Cry 3 for giving me new, charismatic villains to look forward to meeting. While a great villain wont necessarily make or break a game, it has the power to transform a good game into a fantastic one. Ubisoft once perfect the open world action-adventure formula with its past games, namely by focusing on an interesting and eccentric villain to push it forward. An attempt at this can be seen in every game, although arguably, none are able to live up to Far Cry 3 's Vaas Montenegro. Far Cry 4 's Pagan Min and Far Cry 5 's Joseph Seed are still good sources from which Far Cry 6 can learn, but aside from Vaas, perhaps Ubisoft should look closely at Seed and New Dawn 's Mickey and L With Far Cry 6 DLC|https://farcry6zone.com/ Cry 6 leaked and all but officially confirmed, it seems safe to say that fans are excited to see the franchise on, presumably, the PS5 and Xbox Series X. There's little doubt that early success on the consoles could be big for Ubisoft itself, but for that to happen, Far Cry 6 needs to stick the landing. Here's how that can hap

He could borrow from similar roles like Gustavo Fring and Moff Gideon and portray a character who operates under unpredictability and extremes. Alternatively he could inject aspects of charisma from personalities like Buggin' Out but in a much more sinister role akin to that of Vaas or Pagan Min. Esposito is well known for grounding and fleshing out his characters well , embodying each performance with impressive vigor. There's plenty of options for a potential Far Cry villain depicted by Giancarlo Esposito, and it'd be interesting to see how that character is written and portrayed by him. He could represent a strong evolution to what Far Cry has successfully built upon over the last few ye Continuing the theme of fun couch co-op games is Overcooked 2 , the fun and chaotic cooking game. Much like in the first game in the series, players must work together to prepare and cook food for customers while battling against the wild environments and hazards that get in the way. Ghost Town Games added new mechanics into the mix to make the levels even more dynamic. Overcooked 2 is one of the most entertaining (and sometimes stressful) co-op games to take on, but it makes for an incredibly rewarding experience when players overcome challenging levels – making it a great game to bust out for a good la Far Cry 2 can sometimes be a divisive topic for fans, meaning they either love it or hate it. Ubisoft will be at E3 2019 , and it's there where the company is expected to pull the curtain back on its upcoming projects. If a new Splinter Cell is announced at E3 2019, it will debunk this leak, though we would be surprised if Far Cry 6 isn't still in development in some capac For starters, Esposito has already depicted several iconic villains on both TV and film previously, ranging from Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian to Gustavo Fring in Breaking Bad . Fans recognize Esposito for his calm and collected demeanor based on his iconic Breaking Bad character Gus Fring, but he's taken on other roles that reflect a more charismatic side of Esposito that's not often recognized. One particular example is his clever and boisterous character Buggin' Out from Spike Lee's Do the Right Thi This is a big reason why Giancarlo Esposito would be an apt pick for Far Cry 6 's villain, if true. Esposito has the breadth of experience as an actor and the pedigree to show for it with characters like Moff Gideon or Gus Fring. He's even played a character in a video game before with his appearance as "The Dentist" in Payday 2 back in 2013 . One of which was the 24 hour simulation of time, and the use of safe houses throughout the world. Players could utilize safe houses to rest and pass the time, as well as restock any morphine or ammo supplies. Passing time also dynamically manipulated the world in various ways, such as passing the time for a guard shift change at an outpost or waiting until nightfall to infiltrate an enemy encampment. Granted Far Cry 2 's stealth mechanics were a bit rudimentary compared to later iterations, but there was still a genuine advantage for stealth-oriented players when they rested until nightt Hopefully for now the Far Cry 6 reveal will be a pleasant surprise, assuming its shown at Ubisoft Forward. Even though there's not much known about the actual game, everyone seems to know that Far Cry 6 exists. The main character is a Rambo-like warrior who dispatches bad guys left and right. Due to its tight combat and gunplay, players have always been able to create their own action set-pieces. It would be great if Ubisoft could introduce a mode where players can record moments, then edit the footage with different shots to make it more cinematic. This would add a ton of replayability and could make for some truly awesome videos on YouT So there you have it: our list of the memories we will carry with us as the lowest of the low, or at the very least the most confusing. E3 2012 wasn't all bad, so be sure to check out our 5 Best Cinematic Trailers and 5 Best Gameplay Trailers of E3 2012 Unfortunately, the on-stage demo showed what EA meant when they said Dead Space 3 would appeal to a broader audience . Namely, make it more like Gears of War . Those who had hoped for more slow and meticulously terrifying Necromorph-slaying were treated to chest-high walls, straightforward boss fights, and more dudebro-ing than a frat party ("Get some"? Really?). The game certainly looks like a lot of co-op fun, but more unlike the series to date than we had ho The Far Cry series loves to write entertaining villains. They don’t seem to be lacking in that department. What they do need to work on, however, are their protagonists. A villain is only as good as its hero counterp Not only could the "average Jane" fail to get the thing to register her summoning of fire, the developer on hand for the demo stood there awkwardly rather than assisting in any way. This lead to several glittery 4's being written in the air, only to have nothing but idle chatter folGLaDOS' charisma comes from her rather unique sense of humor as she mocks the player through each level. However, the further you get into the Portal series, you realize that her humor is something of a defense mechanism, and the only way she seems to be able to retain what small bit of sanity she still has after she has been assaulted with personality cores and the rest of the mad scientists at Aperture. She is evil, but she also seems to genuinely care about her job. Her personality is one that fluctuates and changes throughout the game. She is an entertaining villain because she has real personality, as she goes through a full spectrum of emotions throughout the two games. She is arguably the best written character that gaming has ever seen, as her subtle nuances make her more than just an evil AI. Maybe it is something akin to Stockholm Syndrome, but she sometimes seems to actually care about you. Or maybe she is just an AI that plays mind games to make you think that. Either way, GLaDOS is one of the most complex and enjoyable villains in gaming. Where Gus Fring was a calculated and intelligent character, Buggin' Out was an energetic and outspoken character. Esposito embodied a character in Do the Right Thing , which came out in 1989, that represented a polar opposite of Gustavo Fring. His brashness and argumentative nature was what made Buggin' Out's character so endearing, using his wit to challenge what he saw as wrong. Esposito has the potential to craft characters that vary far beyond his most recent work, and is something he could certainly draw from should he take on a villainous role in Far Cry Villains in the Far Cry series have seen plenty of variety over the years, with a Gus Fring-like caricature in the Jackal from Far Cry 2 . There's also been characters like Michael Mando's Vaas, easily the most popular Far Cry villain in the series thus far who embodied the iconic insanity fans have come to love. Troy Baker's Pagan Min from Far Cry 4 represents a charismatic middle-ground between these two, borrowing the explosive anger from Vaas' personality and mixing it in with a bubbly attitude. Far Cry 5 's brothers and sisters of the Seed family each embody different arms of a totalitarian religious cult, ranging from militaristic warmonger to a prophetic savior comp That's not to say that the Battlefield franchise hasn't had "interesting" locations—France, Italy, the Gallipolli Peninsula, Norway, just to name a few and far more. This leak comes from 4chan, and so it should be treated with a healthy amount of skepticism. Even so, accurate video game leaks have originated from 4chan in the past, and so it's not out of the realm of possibility that this one is legitimate. At any rate, the anonymous poster posted in a thread about a potential new Splinter Cell game with a list of Ubisoft's studios and what projects they're working on, with Far Cry 6 allegedly in the works at Ubisoft Toro Obviously this year is proving to be a bit strange for the games industry, Ubisoft included. Where a certain AAA failure forced it to delay many of its upcoming titles, issues related to COVID-19 have made things even worse. But there is hope, with Assassin's Creed Valhalla coming to next-gen consoles later this year. Only thing missing is the reveal for Far Cry 6 , which is also apparently slated for this fiscal y Far Cry is all about creating mayhem within a giant sandbox. The next evolution of that approach would be implementing destructible environments. Imagine being able to blow up an entire house and expose all the enemies within. Destroying the buildings around you would never stop being fun. How about attaching C4 to your jeep, speeding towards a building, and then jumping out at the last second? Cover could also eventually be chipped away from gunfire, causing you to constantly be on the move. Many modern shooters have destructible cover, so Far Cry would need to get with the ti According to the leaker, who we must stress provided no evidence to back their claims, development on Far Cry 6 is being supported by Ubisoft Reflections, which is also working on the recently-revealed Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Skull and Bones . Ubisoft Berlin, meanwhile, is working on a different Far Cry game, suggested to be an online multiplayer spinoff of some k Now the question remains: can this leak be trusted? That's where co-op gaming comes in, which gives players a chance to work in teams to journey through their favorite titles together. Co-op offers a way to play games with others that doesn't include always being in player versus player mode or engaging in a game world where it's a free-for-all, and everyone is out for themselves. In co-op mode, teams share resources, weapons and items, and cover each other when the bullets start flying their Something that Far Cry 5 did bring back from Far Cry 2 was the buddy system , but in many ways it was a stripped down version of what it used to be. The buddy system in Far Cry 2 was an integral part of the gameplay, rather than just a companion who could assist in battle. Any time a pivotal story mission was about to occur, players would receive a call from their best buddy offering an alternate way to complete the mission. Then these side characters would actively take part in main story missions, helping assist the player for a more favorable outcome through specific tactical scenarios. Watch Dogs: Legion , Gods and Monsters , and Rainbow Six: Quarantine have already been delayed indefinitely due to issues with Ghost Recon: Breakpoint . Further delaying these games would be the source of even more disappointment from fans despite these games being revealed relatively recently. To that end, with COVID-19 compounding the pressure on Ubisoft's release schedule, Far Cry being delayed further is a possibility. Ubisoft hasn't nailed down a concrete release date for the three already revealed AAA titles, so a Far Cry delay may not even be announced if the game isn't revea

It's worth mentioning that Ubisoft has put out a survey before, asking for input on possible locations, and one of those was an environment-survival game based in Alaska. In other words, alongside fighting against the primary antagonist in the region, the harsh climate of Alaska would be a common factor. With its low population, variety of regions such as its Denali Mountain and Aleutian Islands, and economy based on fishing, natural gas, and oil, there's a lot of potential story angles for Far Cry But sometimes, people go too far.
