Powdered Toast Man and Patrick Star are some of the easier ones to point out, but there are two others that can be figured out without too much difficu Following up from the original Override , Super Mech League shifts gears from an alien invasion plot to a more straightforward sports analogy. It's basically like the 2011 film Real Steel if Hugh Jackman was replaced with a still image of a female trainer who talks all about the progress the player is making climbing up the ranks. The "story" mode is a layer of voiced dialogue in the menus that funnels players into online fights. There is a lot of voice work, but all the talking in the world can't make up for the lack of any presentation outside of the giant robot fig The small arenas provide chaotic fun against human opponents, and there's definitely fun to be had with Override 2 with a group of like-minded buddies on a couch. However, the online focus and complete lack of a campaign structure kill any drive to keep unlocking cosmetics and bots in single player, and those are the only two options available. Put as simply as possible, _Override 2: Super Mech League _ feels like a demo for a larger experience that doesn't exist. But its mark upon animation cannot be ignored, and it's readily apparent in shows like _SpongeBob SquarePants that have gotten games of their own. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Ren & Stimpy _ paved the way for adult cartoons like _Beavis and Butt-Head and South Park , eit At least the gameplay tries its best to make up for the lack of panache in the rest of the package. Override 2 has a healthy roster of characters to choose from, each with a unique fighting style and personality to spare. There's a candy-themed mech that can trap opponents in bubble gum, a walking toaster with flame cannons, and even the stars of Ultraman for players willing to dive into the DLC. It's fun trying out different characters for the first time and choosing a favorite, but it's not fun to try to do that against online opponents, and that's mostly what the game wants players to be doing at all ti Powdered Toast Man was a television superhero and spokesperson for Powdered Toast, a delicious breakfast which tastes "just like sawdust." He flies backwards. He can turn into Powdered Toast dust. He can shoot raisins out of his mouth at dangerous speeds. He has a phone on his tongue which alerts him to danger. His alter-ego is Pastor Toastman, a "cool youth deacon." Powdered Toast Man appeared in two in-show commercial segments before getting his own full, self-titled episode.
