The highly-anticipated Battlefield 6 _ has been confirmed to be coming to the next generation of consoles when it launches next year, and more details are on their way shortly. _Battlefield, from developer DICE and publisher EA, is a long-running first-person shooter series that focuses on large-scale battles, combining infantry with vehicular combat. After announcing last month that support for the latest game in the franchise, Battlefield 5 , would be ending , EA confirmed that its sequel would release next year , echoing their earlier claims that a new Battlefield wouldn't be releasing until 2021 . A few days later, it was clarified that the new game would be coming to next-gen consoles, the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Serie With Battlefield 5 wrapping up its content roadmap this year, DICE and EA are looking to the future. Battlefield 5 was the subject to a lot of controversy, some of it unwarranted, but plenty of it absolutely justified. As a result, the ambitious roadmap of content updates slowed to a halt and players abandoned the game. Now the Battlefield franchise has its full focus on the next entry, set to release for PS5 and Xbox Series X in the 2022 fiscal y Quite recently, Russian industry insider Anton Logvinov shared a brief statement on Twitter claiming that Battlefield 6 is not what fans want, although it plays well. Judging by his subsequent commentaries, the insider hasn’t played the game himself while the information was probably coming from third parties participating in closed testing. Shortly after that, another industry insider, Tom Henderson, claimed the contrary stating that Battlefield 6 will actually be what fans of the series want . Interestingly, the source of Henderson’s confidence is pretty much the same as Logvinov’s concerns. According to those participating in internal testing, the game is receiving significantly more positive feedback than the previous titles. This reception makes Henderson believe that DICE is handling Battlefield 6 in a way that should satisfy f One way Battlefield may be able to make a comeback is to improve their co-op and campaign modes. Last year, Battlefield V 's co-op mode was a sad, rushed mode that felt underwhelming and not prepared for release. EA also needs to capture their player's attention with a campaign mode filled with action, but, most importantly, iconic characters. Call of Duty 's campaigns are always iconic, with characters like Soap Mactavish and Captain Price that gamers always remember. Call of Duty 's Special Ops mode is also a great example of a fun co-op m Team composition and/or dedicated roles in Call of Duty multiplayer is a very rare thing. Average players will stick to their favorite guns and perks in Modern Warfare , and the match will play out to various results. It's a highly open-ended approach that's proved to be the boon of the franchise thus far, but Battlefield handles things a bit more traditiona Regardless of which franchise is borrowing from which, Battlefield will need to find a way to differentiate itself from Modern Warfare regardless. It's less about the classic Call of Duty vs. Battlefield debate , but more so the fact that Ground War follows a lot of the conventions of classic Battlefield multiplayer without the trappings of destruction or variety of vehicles. The solution isn't necessarily to change things up significantly, considering innovation is probably at the bottom of Battlefield 's list at the moment. Battlefield has its world-changing destruction mechanics, massive map design, and variety of land and air vehicles to emphasize controlled chaos. As integral parts of the gameplay loop, Battlefield should double-down or focus on these aspects that make the shooter uni Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 were both based on modern combat , and saw the greatest commercial success prior to the best-selling Battlefield 1 . Plus, modern military has actually advanced incredibly since 2014 with higher usage of drones and autonomous ordnance, so there's plenty of new material for Battlefield 6 to expl Only problem with taking the adventurous route with battlefield 2042 Walkthrough|Https://battlefield2042hq.com/ is that the game could potentially dip into risky territory. Conflicts that simply are lesser known, not as long-lasting, or even uninteresting from a gameplay perspective could make developing these games that much less feasible. It's very unlikely Battlefield 6 would select anything that's pre-20th century that isn't WW2 or the Vietnam War, but there is the tiniest chance that a spin-off title or mainline entry could explore a conflict not often seen in ga Battlefield 5 was a disappointment for many fans of the beloved series, and it seems DICE is attempting to improve for its next installment by cutting its losses on the series' lukewarm return to the European front. Battlefield 5 players will be justifiably frustrated that the game never really got off the ground, and hopefully DICE and EA will have learned their lessons from their first attempt to bring a live service model to the series. In any case, owners of the upcoming consoles will have a marquee title to look forward to when **Battlefield 6 ** releases next y
