While Batman: Arkham City is fantastic in its own right, we can't help but wonder if one specific boss battle really puts it over the top. Sure, the game is perfect for Batman fans as they play as the Dark Knight who's trying to save Gotham after the inhabitants of Arkham Assylum broke out and began terrorizing the cNow, this is kind of an iffy choice, since she can also just go full-on renegade and be a total jerk to everyone. But while she may come across as a bit gruff, Shepard is someone who always seems to make time to help everyone on her crew deal with whatever problem they may have, despite having the entire fate of the universe resting on her shoulders. Even if it involves flying across the galaxy and inserting herself into situations that she really doesn't have anything to do with, she does it anyway because her crew needs her, and that's what good commanders do. Undead Nightmare cleverly threw you into a timeline separate from the main story, in which you play as John Marston as he tries to find a cure for his family's... zombie curse. It was executed with humor and care, and despite merely being story DLC, it's probably the greatest open-world zombie game that we've seen. Think about that for a second. State of Decay and Dead Rising come to mind as distant seconds, and Days Gone might have been the skeleton of something resembling a great open-world zombie game, but we've yet to see one nearly as refined as Undead Nightmare . Rockstar has legitimately made classic games that are add-ons for other games, and for some reason they've decided to stop doing Nintendo's king-of-the-hill crossover fighter is always a good time, and the Wii U's offering is something that really made Nintendo's console worth having. In reality, it doesn't really break the mold in any revolutionary way, but its massive roster is a love-letter to gaming, making it something spec It's clear that when Nintendo made The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, it was clear they wanted to honor the franchise's roots all while breaking the cycle they ran into following Ocarina of Time . Taking notes from the first in the franchise, players are placed in a Hyrule overrun by evil following the return of Ganon. Players aren't given any real direction and can play the game any way they cho When Super Mario Galaxy launched on the Nintendo Wii in 2007, it was easily the best game in the series, but it was missing something — Yoshi. That's why when Nintendo made a direct sequel to the beloved title, they made sure to keep things relatively the same, but with everyone's favorite dinos The Music of Read Dead Redemption 2 so easily and masterfully plunges you right back into the emotional intensity of the game Trailers's storyline. The attention to detail and careful construction of this score is instantly noticeable, and the manner in which it so perfectly represents the game's biggest and most complex moments is absolutely impressive. Red Dead Redemption 2 is an incredible mold of different tones, including humor, awe, entertainment, jealousy, morality, mortality, love, and hatred, and the task of unpacking all of that in a musical composition is certainly a tall one. Not only is this score a perfect western soundtrack that would go great with a horseback ride in the desert, but it also represents the complicated themes of the game's story so spectacularly, and to such a detailed degree, that I can't help but to praise Woody Jackson and the rest of the talented people who are responsible for Whether you're looking to jump back into the immersive world of Red Dead Redemption 2 , or you just need some good theme music to cruise around town with your ten-gallon hat on, you can't go wrong with The Music of Red Dead Redemptio The act of listening to this score pulls you right back into the experience of playing the game and watching its story unfold. Each song's instrument choice, structure, and climax emotionally matches the storyline in which it represents. For example, Mrs. Sadie Adler, Widow , structurally mirrors the narrative arc of its character, Sadie Adler. The low, melancholy strings start the track off in a tone of tragedy, calling to mind the fact that Sadie's story begins with the murder of her husband. The song continues to build in pace, as heavy drums and high strings come into the mix, setting a more powerful, menacing tone, and representing Sadie's transformation from victim to outlaw, and a full-blown member of the Van der Linde gang. We finally progress into a conclusion that resembles what might serve as the soundtrack for a horror movie set in the wild west, as screeching strings mirror the building of tension while Sadie accompanies John Marston on a mission to confront Micah Bell at the story's Shepard might just be the friendliest space captain out of every major science-fiction franchise. On top of helping out her immediate friends, she gains the trust of a telepathic alien hive mind, gets the Geth and the Quarians to set aside their differences and agree to a truce, and even manages to earn the respect and admiration of a race of war-torn lizard people like the Krogans. She's so cool that everyone even sets aside a random day to just hang out at the Citadel and party with her before they have to fight off the evil sentient spaceships that want to kill everyone. If she's the kind of person that makes you want to postpone the apocalypse to drink some shots with her, then it's probably safe to say she's a pretty likable badass. Unless you're a reporter, that is.
