Longevity itself felt supernatural to early humans. They looked harmless but were responsible for countless deaths. Modern reptile pets echo ancient wonder. Leopard geckos, with their nocturnal habits, once inspired stories of wall spirits. Chameleons, masters of camouflage, became living metaphors for survival through change. Myth never truly disappears—it evolves.
