The player verses player (PvP) action game pits up to one-hundred players against each other in a battle royale similar to The Hunger Games where the last man standing wins. Each match starts with the players parachuting from a plane onto a massive map representing an abandoned wasteland filled with decrepit buildings, various weapons ranging from guns, rifles, machetes and frying pans, cars, grenades and other gear used to defend yourself and kill other players. It's a fairly brutal game with no music, just the sounds of gunshots in the distance, as you fight to survive while the playable area on the map grows smaller and smaller. That's not the only good news because according to a tweet by Skin-Tracker, data mining for the new update reveals that new weapon attachments are incoming. New 3x and 6x scopes will be coming, in addition to a Duckbill attachment for shotguns which will increase their horizontal spread. That said, since the developers themselves haven't confirmed these new additions, this information should be taken with a pinch of salt for


The team also noted that another issue in their deathcam, replay and observing systems. If you watch the replays of other players, you might notice no recoil which is an indication of someone using a cheat. The team is now confirming that this just a bug in the system and they will be fixing it as soon as possible. While some PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds fans may disagree with Greene's stance when it comes to the notion of region locking the game in China, it would be difficult for one to claim that PUBG Corp. is not taking the issue of cheating seriously. After all, the development team behind the battle royale title has been steadily working on anti-cheat updates, introduced fresh rules in an effort to stop cheaters and unauthorized programs, and has banned more than one million players in the past for the offe

Taking all of this into consideration, it looks as if PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will not be region locking China any time soon in an effort to discourage cheaters. So, hopefully the aforementioned efforts on behalf of PUBG Updates Corp. and Tencent will manage to stymie the unethical practice in the long run, if not end it altoget

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds publisher Bluehole Studio's announced recently (via VG247 ) the release of new, 4x4 map for the game dubbed "Savage". This small new map is being made available early for testing purposes and will be changed as player feedback rolls in. The new map won't be available via the server either; instead, PUBG will distribute keys to a limited number of play


But as the tweet from Bloomberg's Nakamura points out, the number of concurrent players on PC peaked last month, and there has been a steady downward trend ever since. The Xbox One version is also known to have several technical issues, which may be scaring off some console-exclusive players from purchasing the game.
