This is the part where many gamers rightfully bash PUBG into the the grave that it deserves to die in after introducing it's shady business practices. First, charge for a game that's an unfinished buggy mess that continued to be an unfinished buggy mess for years to come. Second, bring in a shady micro-transaction lottery system that rewards you with crappy cosmetic items for a bloated price. Third, copy the fair and successful battle pass formula that Fortnite has implemented since the start of the series. Boy are those PUBG devs shady, and while the Epic Game's higher ups are no less shady, they at least implemented fair business practices in their most profitable g

There's fun to be had as a social experience, and PUBG is certainly better than the sum of its many subpar parts, but the resources earned through the record-breaking success of PUBG have not translated into a game that holds up in the current climate of high-end shooters, and we can only hope that if major updates (or a sequel of sorts) are on the way, that PUBG's success supports a triple-A experience instead of a frustrating one that looks and feels dated. But given where we're at now, after nearly two years since its first release, and the fact that PUBG Corporation released the game in this state on PS4, there's little h

We spoke with players Cotto, Karnage, Rolex, as well as Team Manager Ian Huston. Together, they are some of the top names in the mobile version of PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds , which has arguably become even more popular than its PC progenitor (the game is also available on Xbox One and was recently released on PlayStation

We are excited beyond words that we can finally share the name of our new desert map and tell you a little bit about some of the places you can visit. When we decided to create a new map, we focused on creating an environment that is very different from Erangel. We wanted to go the opposite direction of having lush fields and forests and arrived at the harsh and unforgiving desert of what we can now reveal is Miramar. The unique terrain and dense urban areas of Miramar will create a new Battle Royale experience where the old strategies may no longer work and new tactics are required. We don't want to tell you too much as you will soon be able to experience it all yourself but we did write a few short descriptions of several of the key landmarks and towns. You can find them below, together with the new screensh

As mentioned, the circle is the biggest threat in the game besides the players. This circle can dish out large amounts of damage the longer the game goes on. Make sure to pay close attention to the minimap as it provides the player with the location of the circle and how much time before it begins to close again. Also, using vehicles is an excellent way to travel across the map in short amounts of time. Vehicles can be rare though, so once the player finds one, hold on to it close and use it as an advantage. The circle can also be used as a weapon of the players' own. By pinning a player in a tough situation while the circle is behind them, the opponent has to make a tough decision. Either move forward and get shot at or wait hit until the circle takes them. Spacing this out can be advantage

Fortnite on the other hand reeks of personality, so much so that they were even able to thread a story through all of it's themes. Despite not having reality breaking graphics, it's still just such a fun game to look at and play, and that's a testament to the st

The Xbox version of the game, a half-baked port of a PC title which isn't well optimized as is on its lead platform, still runs poorly even on the powerful Xbox One X. Its fundamental gameplay mechanics are clunky and subpar compared to any other notable shooter, and it looks dated. Skip forward a year, and now PlayStation 4 players can experience the same disappointment and bugs. Little has changed, and shockingly, PUBG on PS4 is the worst version of the g

Needless to say, with the power and reputation of Activision's golden child behind it, it was practically impossible for Blackout to fail. It's definitely one of the more well optimized and frequently updated battle royale titles on the list, and those merits alone do a great deal to carry it. Nevermind the fact that it's a blast to p

Rolex: Five years from now I personally believe it is going to be as big as any other sport. People love esports. They love to see their favorite players out on stage competing against the best of the best. It’s only going up from h

But player counts don't mean everything, and if we're still talking numbers, than PUBG mobile's player count of 400 million truly takes the cake. Statistics finally aside, it's time to tackle the meat and potatoes of these two console games on mobile and decide which one is a truly battle royale k

Landing is a key part of any game of PUBG Mobile . Deciding where to land can determine the tone for the rest of the game. It can also be the conclusion of the game if not done properly. It's important to pay attention to where opponents as landing. As when they land, they are looking for the same thing the player is, loot and weapons. Some high profile areas on the map would be large towns, power plans, and military bases. These can contain some of the best loot in the game, but its important to remember that other players may want this too. It's not recommended to land in an area where there's nothing around. By doing this, the player will find themselves alone and not finding any useful items. This is also just really boring. Find a happy medium between somewhere with loot and somewhere players will avoid. By defeating players, the player can take their loot. At the end of the day, it is a battle royale, the player will have to fight at some po
