The new Ghost of Tsushima trailer (seen above) released during Sony's E3 2018 press conference today. Set in 1274, Ghost of Tsushima puts the player in the role as a samurai that survives an attack from the Mongol Empire. Sucker Punch has said that players will have to resort to less than honorable actions in order to overcome the enemy, as they battle for Japan's free

The team has yet to disappoint players yet, and the new theme seems to have given them new challenges and forced them to raise their game in several ways. Having a more immersive environment with things like mud slinging around should make the world feel more real - while the increased focus on the narrative should allow players to care about the characters more. It's clear that a lot of depth will be featured in the core combat, and things like duels show that off nicely. They also make the concept of boss battles seem both different and familiar, as the one-on-one structure adds a sense of importance to each one. While Ghost of Tsushima doesn't have a set release window yet, it does look like one of the finest showcases on the PlayStation 4 yet whenever it is released.

Ghost of Tsushima , the samurai action game from Infamous developers Sucker Punch, may be coming to PS5 according to a new rumor. The rumor claims that PlayStation has two unannounced upcoming events. The first will be a State of Play livestream showcasing Death Stranding and The Last of Us 2 . The second, PlayStation Meeting 2020, will focus on Ghost of Tsushima . Ghost of Tsushim a has apparently been delayed, in part so it can be brought to PS4,

It's due to its now-delayed release window that Ghost of Tsushima will instead be instead focused on at the as-yet-unannounced PlayStation Meeting 2020. This kind of event could tentatively fall anywhere through 2020. 2016's PlayStation Meeting was in September and focused on the announcement and reveal of the PlayStation Pro console. A PlayStation Meeting 2020 could similarly focus on the PS5, showcasing Ghost of Tsushima as a launch title or as an example of the PS5's potent

Making the violence more visceral isn't meant to be needless - the goal is to make you care about the violence and using a more realistic style so it has more gravity. The large world is such that anything you can see, you can go to - and it will be put into a smaller chunks to help it be less overwhelming. The prefecture structure allows each area to have a different tone and each area will have its own art and narrative themes throughout. The team started work on it after developing First Light and they had to learn new things like think about how the terrain would be used. The samurai theme has been used in gaming before - but hasn't been used in a AAA title. The Tenchu games would be the closest-equivalent in terms of scope, and those were fairly big releases at times but also tapered off towards the end of the series. Sucker Punch's pedigree in crafting high-level narratives and action-adventure gameplay means that players will be coming into the adventure with high expectations.

Like with some other games on the list, Beyond Good and Evil 2 had a much better showing behind closed doors. The demo we saw offered a vision and an ambition that mixed the freedom of exploration of No Man’s Sky with the potential for deep RPG mechanics and storytelling. The former is still being worked on, but the ability to travel between planets and reach massive open world cities was easily one of the more impressive things we saw during E3 2018. If Ubisoft can pull it off, Beyond Good and Evil 2 will make fans forget that this isn't really the sequel (or prequel in this case) that they were looking

Accordingly, the rumor says that Ghost of Tsushima will not be a part of the State of Play event. This event will reportedly air on November 1 and is said to be longer than prior State of Play broadcasts. It will instead focus on three games planned for the relatively near future. Death Stranding will receive a launch trailer, as it will launch on November 8. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will also be a focus, due to its November 15 release date. Then The Last of Us 2 will receive a release date trailer confirming a May 2020 lau

Developers id Software and Avalanche Studios have put together a playground of carnage for Rage 2 . Where the first game was a showpiece for id Tech, this sequel is all about giving players a handful of tools (both cool weapons and abilities) and letting them loose. The game is fast-paced and violent in a way that doesn’t feel celebratory but is exciting enough to make the loop feel satisfying. Much like Doom before it, Rage 2 looks to take the existing framework and dial everything up to
