Bluehole and PLAYERUNKNOWN (Brendan Greene) have been hard at work on their latest patch for PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS . The Early Access Month 2 Update brings a new vehicle, a new weapon, client performance optimization and much more. The update is scheduled to go live on May 25 5PM KST/1AM PDT/8AM UTC and is expected to take approx. 1 hour to compl
It would be easy to play out, as you have the whole Van Der Linde gang at your side. Having to play out all their stories instead of just Morgan’s wouldn’t be too difficult to pull off. Also, ethnic diversity would be a nice addit
PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is a last-man-standing shooter being developed with community feedback. Starting with nothing, players must fight to locate weapons and supplies in a battle to be the lone survivor. This realistic, high tension game is set on a massive 8x8 km island with a level of detail that showcases Unreal Engine 4's capabilit
However, with PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds , I've felt the compulsive need to check in to the game and attempt a few runs, whether I get oh-so-close to victory or die a hilariously-brief death. Though it doesn't exactly break away from all of the attributes we expect from Early Access titles - IE bugs, bugs, and more bugs - it makes for one of the most effective survival experiences I've played in years by keeping its survival focus lean and simple, but with tons of depth for its rapidly-growing audience. All I know is that Battlegrounds is teasing me with victory and a chicken dinner, and I'm hungry for m
According to the post from PUBG Corps, the new update will be applied today to the game's test server, and will move over to the live servers at a later time once the patch is stabilized and and tested among the playerb
On the technical side of things, PUBG is a much more hit-and-miss experience, and your mileage (as far as performance) is going to vary greatly on PC, depending on your build. Personally, PUBG has been a mostly smooth experience with my build that includes an NVIDIA GTX 1070 graphics card (which is just above the game's recommended spec of a GTX 1060 GPU), 32GB of RAM, and an i5 processor, though the game's optimization is far from ideal. It's come a long way now from its Early Access state, but there is definitely more work to be done to make PUBG a completely "stable" experie
Unless you're a player like me that's dumped dozen of hours into the game, PUBG 's lack of clear explanation as to the mechanics and gameplay secrets might have newcomers going through a few painful first few hours trying to get the hang of it all. And as much as the game's few maps offer tons of strategy and replayability, some players might find themselves bored at going back to the same map over and over, unlike multiplayer games with a greater map vari
Over on the Steam community forum for the title, developer Brendan Greene (aka "PlayerUnknown") outlined what players can expect from the next Monthly Update for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, which includes a hefty number of updates for the game. Specifically, these include a new car horn feature when driving vehicles, the addition of first-person only servers for the game in Solo and Duo game types for North America and generative Ai gaming Europe, support for the Xbox One controller, new weapons and character customization options, and much m
I probably don’t need to tell you that the long-awaited release of Red Dead Redemption 2 is right around the corner. With the first game being a runaway hit (technically the second game, a lot of people forget there was a game called Red Dead Revolver first) it makes sense that people are abuzz with excitement to get back in the saddle. One of the problems with people being abuzz is that they start to want to get their hands on something way before the actual release date, so outside of beta play, all they have is talking about the subject. And with news coming out more every day from Rockstar about all the crazy things you will get up to out in the old west, Rockstar has also been somewhat tight-lipped about any significant details, which is something we should be used to from them by
Fans will remember The Stranger as the supernatural man from the side quest "I Know You." I say supernatural because he knows everything about you and picks out your character’s grave spot, albeit ambiguously. Also, he is totally immune to bull
We already know that dual wielding weapons is something Rocksteady perfected in previous titles, it’s one of the main reasons the Max Payne franchise was so enduring. So of course, fans were over the moon when they found out this mechanic was back for this seq
The next Monthly Update will also introduce the game's first new paid cosmetic items through a "crate and key system," which Greene took time in the community forum to address. Due to some of the negative reaction towards implementing the system, Greene expressed that the introduction and testing of the new paid cosmetics will "serve as the foundation of a healthy economy after launch," and will aim to "benefit all players - both who are willing to pay and who are not willing to pay for vanity items." However, Greene also addressed that "our messaging wasn't clear" in terms of implementing the new system, and added that the team will "try to communicate better moving forwa
