If you can't open Outlook, or Outlook disappears or crashes, one of your add-ins may be to blame or you may need to update Outlook. If you are having problems with Outlook, there are a few things we can help with to get you back to sending and receiving your email. Right-click the folder, and then click Properties to check your permissions for repair corrupted OST in Outlook the folder. See the folder owner or your administrator to change your permissions. Another options is to use the Filter Email button on the ribbon. You may notice that All, Unread , Mentioned and other sort and filtering options, such as By date, and Newest are missing in Outlook above your email list.

Outlook known issues in the May 2019 updates
The issues documented in this section have been reported after installing the recent updates listed below. We're investigating the issues and will update this page when a fix is available. In the meantime, please use the workarounds suggested for each issue. If you typically use an Outlook.com account for email, this issue can occur if there are multiple aliases on the account and the 3rd party email address is the primary alias. This occurs because custom form script is now disabled by default.

Outlook known issues in the December 2018 updates
We recommend that you move several items in your larger folders to separate folders, or that you archive those items by using the AutoArchive feature. These steps are provided in a specific order based on commonality and complexity. Find solutions to common problems or get help from a support agent. The folder may have been deleted or the server where the folder is stored may be unavailable.
Outlook Known issues in September 2020 updates
If you use the cloud-based Microsoft 365 on a PC or Mac, the automated Support and Recovery Assistant tool can diagnose and fix many issues, including Microsoft Outlook not starting. You may have to contact your antivirus software vendor to determine how to configure the software to exclude any integration with Outlook or to exclude scanning in Outlook. Outlook known issues in the June 2017 security updates
To create a user profile, you must first create a user account. To determine whether this problem is caused by a corrupted user profile, create a user profile to see whether the problem still occurs when you use the new profile. To keep up with new viruses as they're created, antivirus software vendors periodically provide updates that you can download from the Internet. Download the latest updates by visiting your antivirus software vendor's website.
Outlook Known issues in March 2022 updates
Outlook stores certain data, such as email signatures and the spelling checker dictionary, in the AppData folder. If the network is performing slowly, Outlook must wait for read and write operations to the AppData directory to finish. To manage your mailbox by reducing the size of the Outlook data file, see Reduce the size of Outlook Data Files (.pst and .ost). Although add-ins can enhance your user experience, they can troubleshoot Outlook synchronizing folders error occasionally interfere or conflict with Outlook.
