According to Behaviour, the Dead by Daylight economy has been significantly revamped. Players now have the ability to earn Iridescent Shards with their playtime in an all-new player leveling system. Behaviour Interactive , the game’s developer, announced the update with a new trailer today. In addition to the Demogorgon, the Stranger Things update will also add both Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington as playable characters. Previous updates have only ever added a single character and killer at a time. The DLC will also add Hawkins National Laboratory , where some of the most iconic moments of Stranger Things ’ first season took place, as a playable map. The announcement trailer didn’t share the specifics of how either the Demogorgon or the two new human survivors will play. In Stranger Things , the Demogorgon uses a variety of different abilities that could easily make the leap to its appearance in Dead by Daylight . It’s shown to have telekinetic powers and superhuman strength, which seem like natural elements to bring over to its in-game incarnation. Its ability to travel through the Upside Down or pull characters in with it could also come into play. Deathgarden is still in the alpha stages and a lot of its world and characters still have yet to be developed, but so far it seems like a burst of fun that could work. There are a few issues to be ironed out (gathering enough ammo for runners is a bit tricky), but the five-on-one gameplay works quite nicely, with both sides being vastly different yet feeling equally powerful, providing the opportunity for a lot of strategy.
