Besides Fable , Microsoft is apparently set to leverage some of its other big franchises at the show as well. This includes Gears of War , which is rumored to have the biggest presence at the show in the form of three new games being announced. These games include Gears of War 5 , a Gears of War battle royale spinoff , and a Gears of War strategy game in the vein of Halo Wa
Microsoft still stole the show with its briefing, though. The Halo and Gears announcements were well received, among others, but none as much as the upcoming console now going by the name Project Scarlett.
As 2019 wraps up, there's no denying that this has been an incredible year for both games and for game trailers. It's exciting to speculate about what 2020 will bring to the table and we're already looking forward to what trailers will arrive as the launch of next-gen consoles rapidly approac
Naturally, that's an incredibly important next step for Xbox too considering the fact that this current console generation hasn't exactly been smooth sailing for Microsoft . Sure, it's easy to blame that on the Xbox One's unfortunate E3 reveal back in 2014, but the reality is that Microsoft could never deliver where it needed to most: huge exclusives. While PlayStation 4 has given fans some of the most groundbreaking experiences of this entire generation, Microsoft has struggled to give its customers any significant exclusives outside of the Gears of War or Halo series. Next-gen is shaping up to be a game-changer, but new IP alone either won't cut
We know that Square Enix is working on Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC , but beyond that, we have little details about it or what it may entail. Fans of the quirky action-RPG franchise may get some answers about Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC at Square Enix's E3 2019 press conference on June 10, as E3 seems like the perfect opportunity to reveal what's next for the game. Here's hoping the story DLC answers some lingering questions Kingdom Hearts fans may have after finishing the latest game in the ser
As for the party management portion of the game, Bug Fables is pretty light when it comes to managing equipment and skills. Instead of individual levels, your entire team levels up as one unit. When you gain enough XP, you can then choose to upgrade your health, your Team Points (which is your MP), or give yourself more Medal Points so you can equip more medals. Medals are your main pieces of equipment as there's no armor or weapons to worry about. These can give you buffs, status ailment resistances, or in some cases, even allow you to use new moves. The RPG mechanics aren't very complex, but it leads to a streamlined experience that still forces you to strategize, as you can only equip a limited number of medals and carry a limited number of healing it
Not only did this trailer event give fans a first look at gameplay, but Naughty Dog and PlayStation finally showed off Joel in the game. The beloved character has aged to look a fair bit more like a grandfather than he did in the last entry. However, it is a bit strange that Ellie simply happens across him in the wasteland, and many fans are still speculating that he is just a figment of her imagination. The Last of Us Part 2 is supposed to be larger than many thought possible, which is an exciting possibility and the trailer definitely teases that massive Open World Star Wars Game that players are going to expl
This prediction seems a little less likely now that we know Anthem won't be part of the EA Play 2019 lineup , but the game is still going to be at E3 2019 in some capacity. With Anthem 's playerbase shrinking and the remaining community often upset with the game, it seems like making it free-to-play could give it a shot in the arm to keep it alive for at least a little while lon
Head of Xbox Phil Spencer first teased the next-gen Xbox at E3 2018, and so it stands to reason that a more substantial look at the console could come at Microsoft's E3 2019 press conference on June 9. If Microsoft does talk about the next-gen Xbox , it's a safe bet that we will learn about the new console's specs, and we may even get an official name for it as well. However, anyone hoping to see an actual physical console is probably a bit too optimistic, as something like that won't be finalized until closer to launch, which many analysts predict will be November 2
The Elden Ring trailer provides next to no information about the upcoming collaboration between George R.R. Martin, the writer of the A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy books series, and FromSoftware, developers of the Dark Souls franchise, Bloodborne , and Sekiro, but that didn't stop it from being one of the most talked about announcements at E3 2019. Fans of FromSoftware loved the teaser and seem to be ready for the next punishing adventure from the develo
Perhaps the biggest title fans were anticipating from Square Enix at E3 2019 was Marvel's Avengers . While this game had been previously announced with a dark and ominous teaser, nearly nothing had been shown before this year's event. The E3 2019 trailer gave fans their first look at the game and its five starting heroes: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, and Black Widow (Ms. Marvel wasn't confirmed until later). As the trailer reveals, a celebration turns deadly, splitting up the team until five years later when new threats force them to reassem
