Rumors have come in that Activision and Beenox are working on a new Spider-Man game , and it might be a sequel to Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions . That game saw players going through four different Spider-Man comics universes; "regular" Earth 616, Ultimate, Noir and 2099. The biggest question raised by these recent rumors is easily "what universes are left?"
Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot was intended to reinvent Marvel’s First Family with gritty realism. However, it ended up as one of the genre’s biggest disasters . Production troubles, studio interference, and creative clashes resulted in a movie that felt half-finis
There's a series called The Exiles which involves inter-dimensional travel, which would make it perfect for a game about..well..inter-dimensional travel. This version is called The Spider, and has Peter Parker bonded with Carnage and is a member of Weapon X.
We can thank Sega for the awful, poorly made, over-priced, unfair-to-fans-and-the-industry games including The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Captain America: Super Soldier and Thor: God of Thunder . The Thor game was so bad it made us angry that it was even m
"We just launched Marvel: Avengers Alliance on Facebook; which is just the tip of the iceberg. This is the first in a much larger effort to support the Avengers franchise across not just one but multiple video game touch points. The Avengers are bigger than just one game, and we’re planning to allow consumers to enjoy The Avengers regardless of their preference in gameplay style or platform. Look for more announcements in the weeks to co
As I already mentioned, Marvel Pinball comes with four different tables. However, this is mostly like getting four different maps. These four tables offer their own subtle twists to a conventional pinball table, but, in the end, they all play largely similar to each other. You have a button to launch the ball, buttons for the left and right flipper, and the ability to tilt the table. That's all. Although the game's physics are spot-on with capturing exactly how a pinball machine should play in real life, I feel that there was a missed opportunity here. Just because you have true to life physics, that doesn't mean you should be limited to simulating an actual pinball machine. There are some far-fetched scenarios on these tables already; for example: Wolverine and Sabretooth battle each other after hitting certain areas on the table. With that said, why not take it a step further, and offer something as fun and over-the-top as the characters that are featured. Marvel Pinball has four different machines, but once you have played one, you've played them all. This ultimately leads to a rather boring experience that will have you moving on very quic
Catwoman wasn’t just disappointing, it became a cinematic punchline. Starring Halle Berry as Patience Phillips, the movie followed a completely new character unrelated to Batman Return’s Selina Kyle . As a result, the film ignored decades of comic lore in favor of a bizarre fashion-magazine aesthe
It’s visit the up coming internet site perfect mix of camp, rage, and reclamation . It’s a line that defines Selina Kyle’s transformation from victim to predator. The moment is electric, dripping with the twisted empowerment that made Pfeiffer’s Catwoman unforgettable. She’s taking control of a world that crushed her and reclaiming a word used against women with unapologetic f
As you can see there are a lot of different dimensions and incarnations of Spider-Man. I didn't even touch on some of the more bizarre ones yet! I think Shattered Dimensions was a great idea and performed well enough to merit a sequel. Any number of these would make a great addition to the game, even as an alternate costume or an achievement nod for some of the more bizarre ones.
Overall, I feel that this game catered more towards pinball enthusiasts than Marvel fans. Don't be fooled true believers. The novelty of having Marvel characters wears off once you realize that this is in fact a pinball game. It is not only a pinball game, but a pretty challenging one to boot. If you're a pinball fan, by all means this one is for you. If you're not too big into pinball, then chances are you won't be too impressed with this one. This is by all means not a bad game. However, I can't say the same about it not being uninspi
As a pinball game, Marvel Pinball is as solid as they come. The physics featured in this game are identical to pinball machines you would find at your local arcade. Plus, you get to enter and record your high scores, compare them up against the world, compare them against your friends, and even the vibration feedback makes you feel that much closer to the real thing. You also have all the standards that come with a pinball table, including bumpers, rails, stand-up targets, etc. I especially like the fact that the game has the courtesy to move the Xbox Live notifications to the middle of the screen instead of at the bottom, because, if you know anything about pinball, you know that covering any part of the bottom of the screen could result in the loss of a ball. You lose three balls, and you're out. Game o
