Here, Origins explores the beginnings of Batman's relationships with many of his recurring villains and allies but also sets the stage for Batman: Arkham Asylum , Batman: Arkham Knight , and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leag
For years, on both Game Rant and Screen Rant, we've suffered through the awkward video game-film relationship. The sad reality, as we so often repeat, is that movies based on video games and video game movie tie-ins all suck, with the rare exception here and th
The result was a bloated, uneven epic where philosophy overshadowed character. Henry Cavill’s Superman felt joyless . Ben Affleck’s Batman was brutal but inconsistent. While Jesse Eisenberg’s eccentric Lex Luthor divided audiences. The infamous "Save Martha" moment became instant meme material, symbolizing the movie’s tonal confus
Con - We could find ourselves over-saturated with watered down superheroes, quickly written scripts and under produced adaptation that are Disney is just looking to make a quick buck with. They are, after all, trying to re-coup $4 billion dollars of investment. It is distinctly possible that quality could suffer. Hopefully that won't be the case, because whether Disney knows it or not, they are now under intense scrutiny from one of these largest, if not the largest, fan base in the wo
Garfield deserved a better movie , but The Amazing Spider-Man 2 became the nail in the coffin for his series. While the movie’s tragic conclusion was incredibly effective, getting to it was an underwhelming slog. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 proves that too many subplots can kill even the most amazing h
Marvel Pinball is exactly what you would expect from reading the title alone; it's Marvel themed, Pinball fun. You get four different tables, and each table offers something from each of the superheroes it features. Wolverine, Spider-Man, Iron-Man and Blade are your four superheroes with this title, and they also bring along with them some friends. Sabretooth, Silver Samurai, Dr. Octopus, Green Goblin, Mandarin (Whiplash) and Deacon Frost are some of the handful of recognizable characters that you will find on each respective table. Each table is very colorful and quite beautiful, and I'm sure hardcore Marvel fans will enjoy pointing all the little nods to its universe's enormous amount of content. So, how do these tables play, and is it worth your cash to download this title? Read on to find
What do you think of this mega-acquisition of Marvel by Disney ? Does it make you as apprehensive as me for the future or elated that we may have an enormous opportunity to see more comic films in the fut
As I already mentioned, Marvel Pinball comes with four different tables. However, Spiderman2mix.Com this is mostly like getting four different maps. These four tables offer their own subtle twists to a conventional pinball table, but, in the end, they all play largely similar to each other. You have a button to launch the ball, buttons for the left and right flipper, and the ability to tilt the table. That's all. Although the game's physics are spot-on with capturing exactly how a pinball machine should play in real life, I feel that there was a missed opportunity here. Just because you have true to life physics, that doesn't mean you should be limited to simulating an actual pinball machine. There are some far-fetched scenarios on these tables already; for example: Wolverine and Sabretooth battle each other after hitting certain areas on the table. With that said, why not take it a step further, and offer something as fun and over-the-top as the characters that are featured. Marvel Pinball has four different machines, but once you have played one, you've played them all. This ultimately leads to a rather boring experience that will have you moving on very quic
In Guillermo del Toro’s Hellboy , Abe Sapien (Doug Jones, voiced by David Hyde Pierce) delivers a ominous line as the B.P.R.D. team investigates a mysterious chamber. He calmly, and almost reverently utters, "Behind this door, a dark entity. Evil, ancient and hungry," setting the mood for what’s to come. It’s a small moment, but it encapsulates the film’s tone perfect
"In my opinion, the biggest afflictions affecting movie-licensed games is the amount of development time and a strict adherence to retelling the story of the film in the form of a game. The former is easy to understand -- less development time means less time to design, produce and polish the game, resulting in a poor or lesser-quality experien
Pro - On the flip side, with Disney having such deep pockets, that means much more available funds to push MORE movies into production. It's not like Disney is buying Marvel because they were threatened by Marvel's market share and were trying to buy out the competition. No, Disney bought Marvel to use the property rights, not sit on them. This could mean we start seeing Marvel characters pushed into multiple forms of media. More cartoons, more comics, more live action TV shows and definitely more mov
