After the success of P.T. inspired psychological thriller Layers of Fear in 2016, horror game extraordinaire Bloober Team followed it up with the cyberpunk-themed psychological thriller, Observer for PC, PS4, Xbox One , and Nintendo Switch earlier this year. It's next game, Observer: System Redux is effectively a next-generation port, taking the original game and updating it with enhanced visuals and gameplay, as well as brand new story content . Observer: System Redux is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in the fourth quarter of 2
Today, several games were shown during Microsoft's Inside Xbox event, the first of a series of events that are being planned over the next few months. With a first-party event planned for July, the focus was on third-party games coming to Xbox Series X, and while the Assassin's Creed: Valhalla "gameplay" reveal was the star attraction, there was a surprising number of next-gen horror games featured in the showc
While virtually nothing official is known about a next-gen Fable , there have been plenty of rumors dating all the way back to 2018. In fact, many expected a new Fable to be announced and teased at E3 2019, but it failed to appear at the show. But that has not stopped a continued rumor that Xbox has the game under development at UK studio Playground Games, the developers behind the Forza Horizon ser
It's not every year that Square Enix hosts an E3 press conference, so fans of the publisher are understandably excited to see what it has in store. We know that Kingdom Hearts 3 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider will both be featured, but it's probable that Square Enix has some surprises up its sleeve as w
Martha is Dead is a psychological thriller in development from the creators of The Town of Light , LKA. Microsoft plans on launching its next-generation console, the Xbox Series X , at some point later this year. So far, the only first-party game confirmed for the Xbox Series X is the upcoming Halo Infinite , leaving much of the console's launch lineup a myst
Next, rolling back the timeframe of a next-gen Fable lets it sit nicely in that medieval fantasy genre like Breath of the Wild . The first Fable was a fantasy jaunt with swords, bows and arrows, magic, medieval towns, and more standard medieval fare. Fable 2 and 3 progressed things forward and introduced industrial elements into its world as well as guns. There are rumors that this next-gen Fable would roll things back to that standard fantasy world, including removing guns from the ga
Microsoft's flagship franchise is also expected to make an appearance during its E3 2018 press conference. The rumor is that a project called Halo Infinity will be announced at E3, but whether or not it's meant to be Halo 6 or something else entirely remains to be s
One of the joys of playing Breath of the Wild is its sense of freedom. Like any open-world game, there are always limitations, but the magic comes when a developer can give a sense of freedom while successfully hiding the limits of its virtual world. Breath of the Wild excels at this. Fable should not copy Breath of the Wild's open world as Fable has its own beloved gameplay and style, but a next-gen Fable would do well to make the revolutionary step forward that made Breath of the Wild so endearing and engaging for the Legend of Zelda franch
Out of all the games rumored for Sony's press conference, though, one of the most surprising is PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds . Microsoft has supported PUBG 's entrance into the console market by pushing it on the Xbox One, going as far as to bundle the game with Xbox One X consoles. It would be surprising to see Microsoft let PUBG slip through its fingers and land on the PS4 storefront, but at E3, anything is possi
During Bethesda's E3 presentation last year, The Evil Within and The Evil Within 2 developer Tango Gameworks revealed that it was working on a new survival-horror game, Ghostwire: Tokyo. Not a lot is currently known about Ghostwire: Chicken Kicking Tokyo , only that it's not a traditional horror game, but an action-adventure where players will need to rid the city of Tokyo of paranormal enemies and supernatural evil. Given that no release window or platforms were announced, it seems safe to say Ghostwire: Tokyo is eyeing the next-generation consoles, although this is currently speculat
