Battle Master - Maneouvres: Specific to the Battle Master , their Maneouvres give Fighters a similar level of utility to Spellcasting Classes. While their damage numbers don’t compare to traditional Spells, the extra movement options and variability in effects, such as disarming foes, can make Bards a more tactical Class.
The Sorcerer is one of the most volatile Classes in all of Baldur's Gate 3 thanks to their wild spells and ability to use Metamagic to enhance their spellcasting skills. Sorcerers are at their best when they put all of their effort into maximizing their damage output, which the Draconic Bloodline subclass offers in spades.
Battle Masters might prefer a weapon with longer reach instead, such as the Dancing Breeze (Sold by Exxvikgap in the Rivington General.) This powerful glaive allows the wielder to perform a Whirlwind Attack, making an attack against all enemies within range. The Drakethroat Glaive also remains viable, as does the Moonlight Glaive and the Halberd of Vigilance. You could also consider Nyrulna, a legendary Trident that returns when thrown and causes thunder damage explosions when thrown too. It can also create cutting winds that blow back foes and create gusts of wind that also inflict thunder damage.
Dipping into Fighter is always an ideal move for any Class, especially the Bard whose slate of utility abilities could use combat enhancements by this Multiclass. Thanks to the Fighter’s more aggressive kit, a Bard can get into any position without worrying about survivability. Here are things to take note of when proceeding with a Fighter Multiclass as a Bard:
Scale Mail +2 (16 AC + DEX, Medium Armour, Rare): Its Disadvantage on Stealth can make it rather hassling to wear for ambushers, but a proud Bard wouldn't mind given its +1 Initiative and -1 Slashing Damage Taken. Not to mention, an ideally-built Bard will instantly get 18 AC from this armour, as though they're wearing Heavy Armour. In tougher battles close to Act 3, this gear can become an indispensable part of their arsenal.
