One thing that stands out in most Old Western games has to be the classic treasure hunt. Out of nine maps, the first you can find in the Jack Hall Gang treasure map side quests comes from a fellow treasure hunter named Max
No, sorry Sephiroth is not in the game, but perhaps he is the one that summoned this anomaly. If you go north of the V in Roanoke Valley, and slightly to the west, you'll see a small square. This is a cabin. Make a trip up there to find it has been pierced by a meteor, smoking everyone inside to, well, really gross looking corpses. Bad for them, but good for you as you can sell the leftover chunk for a good bit of c
Following on from the last entry, here's another really handy little timesaver. If you're deep in menus, as it's very easy to be in Red Dead Redemption 2 , you don't need to manually back out of each individual one. Instead, the easiest way to get out of them is to simply hold down Circle/B, instead of tapping it. This drags you all the way out of them, returning you to gameplay instantly. Quite why the game doesn't tell you this, I have no i
While the beauty of the great outdoors and the interaction with the stars themselves are incredible to behold in this game, not everyone who encounters these rocks from space are lucky to make it out in one piece. Another encounter with a meteor comes from the Roanoke Valley area. To the northeast of the "A" in "Roanoke Valley," you’ll discover a home. Here, you will find inside the unpleasant remains of some people, where it appears a meteorite crashed into the home and decimated whoever was ins
When I think back on Red Dead Redemption , there are plenty of scenes and images that immediately come to my mind that capture that game's particular sense of grandeur. There are the obvious action-packed moments, like gunfights against outlaws, heists, and robberies, and the quieter moments that truly let the game's Western setting shine: galloping out into the expanse of the West with the sun blazing in the distance always comes to mind for me when thinking back on Red Dead at its best.
One thing that actually really winds me up in Red Dead is that when you die, you don't lose your bounty. Come on now. If you're up for a bit of gaminess, there is a solution. Spend or donate all of your cash, go to the local sheriff's office, wherever you have a bounty where you have a bounty. Antagonize him (call him a yellow-belly or something), until he turns hostile. Surrender yourself. You’ll spend time in prison, and your bounty will be gone. You lose all your money if you can’t afford the bounty, but if you’ve got rid of it all, no prob
Activision isn't going to take any chances launching their game after Red Dead Redemption 2 for good reason. The last title that Rockstar Games released-- Grand Theft Auto V --went on to become the highest selling game of all-time . Even crazier is that it's still charting on NPD what seems to be every month nearly five years after its initial release.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will release for PS4 and Xbox One on October 26th, 2018. If you have yet to pick up a copy of the game, there's still time to pre-order the game on Amazon ahead of its release this fall.
In this article, we're going to talk about which two weapons you should have to hand, and which ones you shouldn't bother with. The game has far more weapons than it seems at first glance, and some of them you definitely don't want to be charging into a gang hideout with. There are a dizzying variety of shotguns, rifles, repeaters, pistols, revolvers, even melee weapons, despite it seeming like there's only a handful at the start of the game. Not all of them are worth bothering with. For instance, that varmint rifle you get? Don't even try to use that in combat. Instead, switch to a pump-action shotgun, a bolt-action rifle, or a pair of trusty Volcanic Pistols. Without any further ado, let's begin the countdown: apologies if I slaughter one of your sacred c
The aliens, skeletons, and mystery case are all creepy, but I think the most unsettling Easter egg is this one. If you go along the coast of the Braithwaite Manor you will eventually find an outhouse that has been chained shut. Through the crescent moon you can hear a woman's voice. If you go near she'll reach out her hand and start going ballistic. Eventually, she'll start to recite random numbers. As of now, no one has figured out if they mean anything. It could be random, or it could be the start of something gran
red dead redemption 2 characters Dead Redemption 2 has some of the best shotguns I've ever used in recent years, and chief among them (at least in terms of standard weapons), is the pump-action. Packing a ridiculous amount of punch, whether loaded with regular ammo or slugs, it's also got a fairly decent range on it. The fire rate is good, and if you get a shot in on someone's head or one of their limbs, then uh...things aren't looking at all good for t
The Old West is indeed ancient by today's standards, but let's not forget that back then they also had civilizations that were old even to them. For example, vikings. Well if you want Arthur to uncover some ancient Skyrim like architecture, follow the curve at the beginning of the R in Roanoke Val
