I think there’s much that New Horizons doesn’t do well -- terraforming, item customization limitations, internet connectivity with others, etc -- but there’s no denying that it’s a fantastic game about connecting with others without having to resort to violence. There’s also a small gladness that I can leave the Rpg game Secrets for 4 months and not have to feel entirely guilty because my island seems to continue to thrive. Weeds don’t populate that much, and if they do they look somewhat aesthetically pleasing, and the villagers seem to be more understanding that you’re a busy per

The Rip and Tear perk is one that turns a close-quarters shotgun build into one of the game's most devastatingly dangerous. This max-level Body perk does two things: after firing a Shotgun, the next Quick Melee Attack deals twice its normal damage, and after performing a Quick Melee Attack, the next Shotgun shot deals twice its normal dam

The finisher comes in two varieties, one that simply kills enemies where they stand, and one that activates if players hold down the finisher input. This second version sees V throw the enemy at a target location, instantly killing them and damaging enemies in their vicinity. The cherry on top is that performing a Savage Sling restores 20% of V's HP, making it much easier to stay in melee range without consuming every Health I

Batman's enemies are more difficult for that matter since he's not just up against the usual lunatics in costume but also against corrupt authorities and the apathetic populace. This one is certainly one of the most unique takes on the dark knight and shouldn't be missed, and the cyberpunk setting is just the icing on the c

When V shoots enemies who are at low health with Light or Heavy Machine Guns or Shotguns, there is a chance that they will be dismembered and be killed. The chance for this to occur increases as enemy HP goes down, up to a maximum 20% chance with every shot. To make the most of this skill, switch to a gun that fires faster when enemy health gets low for more frequent chances to trigger the dismemberment eff

Lizzie is an iconic tech pistol in Cyberpunk 2077. The gun fires an extra round each time players pull the trigger, and the number of rounds it fires increases if the weapon is charged up beforehand. When first located, Lizzie will be of rare (blue) quality, containing one scope slot and mod slot. However, the weapon can be upgraded to epic quality, which adds an additional mod slot and increases its overall st

For that reason alone, Cyberpunk 2077 has only just slid its way into my top 10. I may have had to find myself pushing through awkward shooting mechanics, glitchy car journeys, and a world that is uncomfortably written on purpose. However, the payoff to see V’s relationship with those around them grow, especially Johnny Silverhand, was something that made my time with the game worthwh

When unlocked, players can press a new input (labelled in the Perks screen) to slam the ground. Accessible every ten seconds, enemies in this close-range AoE attack's range will be damaged, staggered, and potentially knocked down. Performing it in mid-air makes it so that V slams to the ground below them, and sub-perks even make its damage scale with the distance fal

Animal Crossing: New Horizons launched on the heels of a global pandemic and turned out to be the perfect way to keep everyone connected while in lockdown. Following that, personally, the game fell off my radar for a few months after due to having to focus on other game launches and as my personal life started to weigh me down. But since jumping back into it again in late November, I’ve started to feel the game’s magic come back, and for a brief moment, the stresses of reality became l

As 2020 (thankfully) comes to a close, the DualShockers staff is coming together to share their personal favorite games throughout the year. Unlike our official Game of the Year Awards, each of these lists is meant to reflect which games stood out personally to each of our staff members. Additionally, any game -- not just 2020 releases -- can be considered in each Top 10 L

Reaching close to the max level of the left side of the Intelligence skill tree, Queue Acceleration is up next. Players need to invest 3 Perk Points into this perk, with the first point giving players a +1 to their Max

Finisher: Savage Sling isn't exactly a game-changing ability that fundamentally empowers V in combat . Like other finishers, this ability can only be used on enemies who are either low on health or susceptible to Finishers – in this case, stunned enemies are more susceptible, and can be targeted by the Savage Sling finisher at slightly higher HP brack

Fenrir - When it comes to submachine guns though the best option available to players is by far the Fenrir. This gun has better stats than just about any other submachine gun in the game and has a wealth of special abilities to bring down enemies more effectively. When using Fenrir players will be able to deal thermal damage to their enemies, but will also have a chance to light them on fire as well. With such a high rate of fire, this means that enemies will almost constantly be on fire while being shot at. On top of this as well the Fenrir has decreased bullet spread, which makes it much more accurate at longer ranges. The biggest downside to the Fenrir is that it has very high recoil, but with its other effects and attachments to correct the recoil it is an incredibly efficient weapon for nearly all situations. Players will find this weapon during the Losing My Religion side job where it will be near the man they res
