It feels like GTA V was basically a dry run for this. You know when you're running around in the San Andreas desert, and just messing about? That has to have been something of a dress rehearsal for Red De

Surprise, surprise, there are UFOs in this game. It's pretty easy to find once you know where to go. If you travel northeast of the second N in New Hanover, you’ll see a lake. Once you're there you'll find skeletons inside a cabin in a scene straight from Fallout 4. There's a cryptic letter that talks about other beings coming back for them at 2 A.M. If you go back inside at that time, you'll see a ship fly above. Is this a clue for the DLC? Will we see cowboys and aliens duke it out? I hope

As with any good western story, you will witness the loss of friends along the way. Those bandits with a heart of gold will find themselves at the wrong end of a shotgun, and you will have to face the rest of the story without them. Well, the developers just knew you would probably be in your feelings about t

Kratos might be skilled at fighting gods and monsters, but he will be facing an entirely new kind of opponent at the 2018 Game Awards, as God of War is facing off against Red Dead Redemption 2 Outfits Dead Redemption 2 in every category that they are nominated

No, sorry Sephiroth is not in the game, but perhaps he is the one that summoned this anomaly. If you go north of the V in Roanoke Valley, and slightly to the west, you'll see a small square. This is a cabin. Make a trip up there to find it has been pierced by a meteor, smoking everyone inside to, well, really gross looking corpses. Bad for them, but good for you as you can sell the leftover chunk for a good bit of c

The Old West is indeed ancient by today's standards, but let's not forget that back then they also had civilizations that were old even to them. For example, vikings. Well if you want Arthur to uncover some ancient Skyrim like architecture, follow the curve at the beginning of the R in Roanoke Val

God of War and Red Dead Redemption 2 will also be competing through proxies in the Best Performance category, with Christopher Judge as Kratos and Roger Clark as Arthur Morgan representing their respective ga

How do you fancy being able to circle strafe around enemies while riding your horse? If you want to channel your inner 90s FPS protagonist and combine power and maneuverability, you can! All you have to do is hold down Square/X and a direction on the X-axis. Another little bit of advanced equine tactics for you: if you want to do a sharp 90-degree turn, you can do so by holding down R1/RB and hitting a direction on the X-a

This is the big category and the line-up is strong this year. God of War and Red Dead Redemption 2 seem like the most obvious choices, but Marvel’s Spider-Man might also swoop in for a surprise vict

Do you get a little irritated by having to get to the map via the pause menu? Well, fear not, because you don't actually have to! While the game doesn't tell you this, you can jump straight to the map if you hold down the start button, rather than tapping it to bring up the pause menu. While this only really takes a few seconds off the process of getting there, it's highly rewarding to know, and makes it much less of a faff to look at where you're head

So buckle your holsters and saddle your horses, for we are about to embark on a most treacherous journey. Here are some flaws in one of the most popular games available today. The going will be difficult, and we may suffer the slings and arrows of staunch Red Dead supporters, but we'll take it nice and easy. Read on if you aren't afraid to laugh with me about some of Red Dead Redemption 2's most nonsensical aspe

When you’re hunting animals, you want to get the best shots you can, as this will improve the quality of the pelts you get. The cleanest shots are straight to the head. Switch to dead eye, and aim for the head. Press square/X to call to the animal to get them to raise their head for a more direct line of fire. Make sure you use the right weapon for the job too. For animals the size of a rabbit, use the varmint rifle. For larger animals like deer, use a bow. There's a guide for the weapons to use in your compend

That's another huge open world game where discovery is just as fun as the main tasks. The reason why I was so addicted to it was, one, it's a great world to explore. Two, there were plenty of ways to fast travel and get around thus incentivizing me to keep exploring. Red Dead Redemption II doesn't do that. It has travel hubs, which are far off from the places you want to see. Actually getting to these areas from towns isn't the problem. It's getting back in one piece. Maybe I'm just too irritable. No matter, point is, thank goodness for everyone else out there. Let's get to

Are you enjoying your time in Red Dead Redemption 2 ? I know that I am. I've been chipping away at the game over the course of two weeks now, barely even playing the story. I know that I'm only about halfway through the story, if that, but that's fine. This is a game that's something of a miracle. Not only is it slow paced story-wise, but it's made almost every player take their time with it. There are so many stranger missions, animals to hunt, fish to catch, gang hideouts to wipe out, collectibles, and more, it's the closest that a game has ever come to making a real, living, breathing world. I don't think that this game could ever have been made before this generation, and it's nice to see a game that truly takes advantage of this generation, not just in its graphics, but in its sheer sc
