Dream has already faced a few other controversies over the last few weeks, including being stripped of his speedrun record on Minecraft following allegations that his incredible luck was just a little too incredible to be credible. As catalogued by Twitter user defnoodles , hardcore Dream "stans" have since taken matters into their own hands, when Dream posted a picture of his kitchen to one of his Twitter accounts (whether they were motivated by his cheating or by his face reveal is unknown). Using online real estate marketplace Zillow, Twitter user mazouwu managed to figure out Dream's precise address and offered the information to anyone who asked before deleting all of the content from their acco
In the new State of Stream from November 2020 at Stream Elements , Twitch reported that while there was only a .5% month-over-month increase, it was still enough to bring in another milestone of nearly 1.7 billion hours watched. While some games did experience a drop in viewership, like Among Us or Grand Theft Auto 5, new games saw a major increase in views with releases that sparked viewership, like Minecraft’s Star Wars DLC that became available to purchase. That resulted in a 60% change in viewership for that particular game. Just Chatting has kept its number-one spot among the most-viewed content, with nearly 228 million hours watched – but that is an all-time high. There has also been a new streamer that has topped the charts over xQcOW, and that is Gaules, who has now sat atop the streaming charts three times. Another new streamer that has made his way into the top 10 is Sykkuno, popularized with his lets plays of Minecraft and Among
Another big winner in Apple’s awards was Genshin Impact , which took home the top prize for Game of the Year for iPhones devices . The free-to-play game managed to capture many with its Breath of the Wild feel despite fears that the game’s gacha mechanics would deter players. Genshin Impact is far from struggling; in fact, according to one report, the game is tantalizingly close to an amazing financial milestone. From the game’s release in September to the end of November the game brought in nearly $400 million dollars on mobile platforms al
During the month of November, Twitch hit a brand-new milestone with the most viewers in the platform's history watching content. With how much the streaming service has been in the news recently with the current protests of the DMCA strikes , it’s no wonder that the viewership, along with multiple other milestones, has ticked

DOOMED: Demons of the Nether brings the blood-stained, demon-infested environs of the 2016 Doom game into Mojang 's tranquil masterpiece. Shooter fans will recognize all the sound effects from Doom , as well as VEGA's calm robotic voice guiding Doomguy's blocky new form through the halls. The new footage revealed by Sibogy shows the player facing off against a notorious Pinky demon, which appears to be a sort of reskinned cow. The player has familiar Doom weapons at their disposal, including a UAC pistol, a shotgun, and a chainsaw they can use to spawn ammo from zombies. There are also familiar portals and bounce pads to help Doomguy maneuver about the space and attack the Pinky's vulnerable b
Popular gaming YouTuber Videogamedunkey has seemingly abandoned his traditional approach to making videos in an elaborate joke meant to roast content creators who are riding the wave of Among Us _ and Minecraft _ 's popularity. Dunkey has dropped his weekly upload schedule in exchange for low-effort daily videos that are still more entertaining than the creators they are meant to emul
Winners of Apple ’s App Store Best of 2020 were announced today with Among Us _ and Minecraft _ taking first place in key categories. Both games have been around for some time - Minecraft originally released on mobile platforms nearly 10 years ago and Among Us in 2018 - but the two games remain popular today. Among Us has been especially notable this year as its popularity unexpectedly skyrocketed years after its launch, capturing the imagination of many fa
Despite the fact that he's never shown his face on-screen, Dream's internet fanbase grew by 12.5 million followers to a total of 14 million between January and November 2020 alone, largely thanks to his Minecraft speedruns and his fan-made Minecraft Manhunt and subsequent series of videos . But his reputation recently took a darker turn due to suspicions surrounding the legitimacy of his Minecraft prowess, along with a growing fan obsession to see what the enigmatic streamer actually looks like. The latter came to a head when YouTuber Mr. Beast posted a Rewind for 2020 that teased Dream revealing his face for the first time. However, the tease was all that fans were going to get, as Dream's face was ultimately obscured by his YouTube icon smiley face during the "reveal," which made it plain that Dream didn't plan to reveal his identity any time soon. Some fans were satisfied with that, but several were evidently
