So, this campaign started before Megan and I got involved. Global Green and Omaze and PUBG Mobile basically figured out a way to combine what they do best. PUBG Mobile has access to all these people because they are as big as they are. They were in a world that so many people are involved in, with mobile gaming and all that. Omaze is this unbelievable company that's really good at coming up with fun ways of raising money and doing that. When they teamed up with Global Green, it just made sense for what they do. Then the aspect of bringing myself and my wife in to help promote it, and to help really get eyes on it, it became everybody going, "Okay, how do we use our platforms in the best way to raise awareness?" Then this party that we're doing December 9, with Twitch TV, that's another aspect of it. So the whole thing is one giant push. And PUBG Mobile has been amazing, and Omaze has been amazing, and Global Green is an amazing organization, so we really want to help them as much as we can with resources to combat what's going on in the Amazon and the fight for that, and just start there and hopefully g

PUBG is not the first battle royale in the existence of this overblown, saturated genre. But it was without a doubt one of the first to popularize it and shape it into what it is today. Many of the devs for PUBG even worked on the H1Z1 Survival Mode, the game mode that quite literally made the blueprint for modern battle royale. __ So in many rights it's hard not to see that Fortnite rode the coattails of PUBG, adding a handful of different elements to perfect the game. Still, I've put way more hours into PUBG weapons, but when it comes to the better overall game... you'll just have to decide that for yours

The next big update for **PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds ** is finally about to go live after a few minor delays. The monthly update (the 4th so far for the popular MMO shooter) was originally scheduled for two weeks ago but was pushed until this week before getting another one-day delay for some last-minute bug fixes. As promised, the latest monthly update adds a new weapon (a 7.62mm marksman rifle this time that is only found in crate supply airdrops) alongside many much-needed and welcome quality of life changes. The 4th monthly PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is already life on the test servers and should go wide tomorrow, adding in horns for drivers in vehicles, a reconnect option for disconnected players, first-person only servers for solos and duos, Xbox controller support , new animations, sounds and effects for vehicles, movement, weapon use, and tweaks to consumables, some of the weapons, and much, much more! The latest update also adds more microtransactions through a key and crate system which as stirred as significant amount of controversy for it coming before the game has left early access, and during a time when the game is a top-seller. The devs claims it's required in order to test.Below are the official patch notes and details on the newest weapon being added to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. Also note that this is the last blog update by Brandan "PlayerUnknown" Greene for a while as he'll be travelling for the next few months. The community team will handle future update/patch po

There's fun to be had as a social experience, and PUBG is certainly better than the sum of its many subpar parts, but the resources earned through the record-breaking success of PUBG have not translated into a game that holds up in the current climate of high-end shooters, and we can only hope that if major updates (or a sequel of sorts) are on the way, that PUBG's success supports a triple-A experience instead of a frustrating one that looks and feels dated. But given where we're at now, after nearly two years since its first release, and the fact that PUBG Corporation released the game in this state on PS4, there's little h

While we take great joy in comparing these two battle royale titans, Fortnite really should be in a different league of it's own. PUBG is a traditional battle royale game, but Fortnite is not only battle royale, but Minecraft too. In the game you have to gather supplies and build to survive -- it's honestly quite bizarre when you really exam it. In the middle of a heated battle you could be mining for stone and build a four-story house. And don't think you'll get very far without utilizing these mechanics, as some of the best players have gotten that way by becoming master build

Fortnite on the other hand reeks of personality, so much so that they were even able to thread a story through all of it's themes. Despite not having reality breaking graphics, it's still just such a fun game to look at and play, and that's a testament to the st

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds offers the chance to explore and scrap through the three gigantic maps of Miramar, Erangel, and Sanhok–with Vikendi having just recently entered the Public Test Server to boot. One's tasked with scrounging for consumables, armor, and weapons to survive matches populated with up to 100 players, as a storm circle slowly encroaches and forces those still alive to duke it out in tense, ever-closer firefights. This can be done as a Solo endeavor, or in Duos and 4-person Squads, but the goal essentially remains the same no matter the size of the team, and that is to be the only survivor(s) at the end of the ma
