Ubisoft once perfect the open world action-adventure formula with its past games, namely by focusing on an interesting and eccentric villain to push it forward. An attempt at this can be seen in every game, although arguably, none are able to live up to Far Cry 3 's Vaas Montenegro. Far Cry 4 's Pagan Min and Far Cry 5 's Joseph Seed are still good sources from which Far Cry 6 can learn, but aside from Vaas, perhaps Ubisoft should look closely at Seed and New Dawn 's Mickey and L Oh Wonderbook d...

The worst part of all of this is that Ubisoft probably had the most games that we are now anticipating on display. Watch Dogs and Splinter Cell: Blacklist were game-changing and surprising respectively, and Assassin's Creed 3 and Rayman: Legends showed that the studio is intending to improve even their most successful franchises. Had Ubisoft merely ran the trailers and demos without any host, nothing would have gotten in the way of our excitem If the next entry in the franchise isn't keen to ret...

The concept of scripted banter itself is counterintuitive to be putting on a live show in the first place. It doesn't encourage on-the-fly thinking, nor does it give off the sense that any of the people playing these games care about the product in front of them. There were several moments of scripted conversations scattered amongst each of the big three's press conferences but the most egregious crimes go to Microsoft's demo of Madden 13 's Kinect functionality and the brief 3DS details during ...

There have been many other villains that have tried to evoke this kind of charisma, where you aren't sure of their stability, but you are sure that they believe strongly in what they're doing. For some, it is controlling the world. For others it is simply money or survival. Vaas is a good example to get this started, but aside from his excellent monologue, we don't know enough about him. The Jackal, your target in Far Cry 2 might be a good way to get things started. He is an intriguing character...

As for what to expect, it's tough to say. There's very little known about the next Far Cry that isn't just a rumor or corroborated with another source. Most of the "leaks" just allege that Far Cry 6 certainly exists in some capacity, which may be true but that's a little more than obvious at this point. Each gameplay/story leak alleges something completely different, ranging from a sequel to Far Cry 3 with Vaas as a returning character to the return of a tropical setting and helping zoos with je...

Continuing the theme of fun couch co-op games is Overcooked 2 , the fun and chaotic cooking game. Much like in the first game in the series, players must work together to prepare and cook food for customers while battling against the wild environments and hazards that get in the way. Ghost Town Games added new mechanics into the mix to make the levels even more dynamic. Overcooked 2 is one of the most entertaining (and sometimes stressful) co-op games to take on, but it makes for an incredibly r...

Whether it was going against some fictional enemy, corrupt oil magnates, or even the United States armed forces, Alaska is the perfect balance between environment and possible enemies for Far Cry 6 to expl One thing that always holds the series back from greatness is how it tries to take itself too seriously, while not creating a compelling enough narrative for players to actually care about. Vaas in _ Far Cry 3 _ may be one of the best gaming villains ever, but the overall plot of that game is ...

Now the question remains: can this leak be trusted? Like any leak that comes from 4chan, we advise those looking forward to a possible Far Cry 6 to take this information with a massive grain of salt. However, since accurate leaks have come from the site in the past, including leaks about Ubisoft titles, it shouldn't be disregarded entir As part of Far Cry 2 's heavy emphasis on player freedom, the game implemented a number of ways for players to tackle outposts or missions throughout the game. O...

It's worth mentioning that Ubisoft has put out a survey before, asking for input on possible locations, and one of those was an environment-survival game based in Alaska. In other words, alongside fighting against the primary antagonist in the region, the harsh climate of Alaska would be a common factor. With its low population, variety of regions such as its Denali Mountain and Aleutian Islands, and economy based on fishing, natural gas, and oil, there's a lot of potential story angles for Far ...

_ Far Cry 4 _ played with this idea a little bit, but the factions were specifically part of the plot. You only got to side with one faction or the other at the very end. A faction system that is affected by gameplay would be a welcome addition. You could take down an outpost, then decide which faction gets to control it. It would be a nice change of pace and would open many story possibilities since you’re constantly changing the flow of battle between these factions. To make things interesting...
